Hoooo baby! let's get a couple things straight before we start.
For starters homestuck 2 and the homestuck epilogues are entirely disregarded, minus some harmless parts that may happen to shine through in my writing. Also, this fic's version of events during the entirety of the Homestuck webcomic, along with the beta/alpha trolls and kids sburb session are greatly different than canon.
Heres some basics:
Reader is a 2003 baby,
Beta kids are 'born' in 2002, while the alpha kids are 'born' in 2001.
Sburb doesn't take place when the kids are 13, but when they are all 17, meaning it starts on april 13th, 2019.
This fic starts the summer of 2018 where the reader is 15, as it progresses I'll make sure there are dates to help guide us all along. I myself am a summer baby, so age wise that’s what I’ll go off of, but there will be no birthday chapter seeing as this is a reader insert and not every reader is gonna be born on a summer month
The reader is also written to be short. once more, I’m going off my own traits, which is a height of 4ft 10, but I’m not gonna make the reader canonically 4ft 10 in my writing as again, obviously everyone who reads this won’t magically share that height.
This fic will include a lot of talk of mental illness, both being experienced by the reader and by other characters in homestuck. When heavy topics arise not just with mental health but situations, but with topics like abuse and sexual harassment, I will include a warning in the foreword that describes in very basic terms what will be covered, because the last thing I want to do I trigger someone. And while topics like this will be present, it wont be very suffocating.
There will be a lot of differences between canon lore and this fics lore, as I will be taking liberty with things like the beta/alpha kids home lives, troll civilization without the influence of people like The Grand Highblood or The Condenses, as well as the inner workings and purpose of sburb.
