Summary
It shocks him how unbothered he is in looking after the kids. He doesn't find himself annoyed with Maelor's babbling, his endless questions, or his pleas to play 'knights and dragons' when Jaehaera refuses. He is rowdy and full of an energy Aegon can't possibly match. In contrast, his daughter is a breeze but not without her quirks. She is sweet and quiet, preferring to observe those around her or focus on her texts. She reminds him of Helaena.
(AU where Jaehaera & Maelor join Aegon during his time on Dragonstone. Set after the Fall of King's Landing and before the Fall of Dragonstone. HOTD spoilers.)
