Silver And Green

Summary:

When Boba and his covert have to flee they are given refuge in an underground covert.

Boba's world is turned upside down when he meets the covert's provider, an awkward and at times clumsy man that charms his way into Boba's heart.

Chapter 1

Notes:

A really short first chapter. I did all the editing and formatting so I'm sorry if it sucks. All the Mandoa I used is from the Mando'a Database my grasp of the language is like that of a child that understands that they are doing something they are not supposed to and still doing it.

Andddd Boba already uses Jango's armor he just repainted it to its green and red colors and Jango uses a new set with black and blue.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Boba didn't like meeting new people; he tended to be reserved and rather than socializing he preferred to stand in the corner and observe his surroundings.

But Jango unlike Boba was a very social man which was why Boba stood beside him as Jango cheerfully greeted the Armorer of the covert they sought refuge in.

They had been forced to flee their previous covert because of some imps that had spotted a young Mandalorian sneaking in after being sent out for medicine for a new foundling.

That was a week ago.

And now they stood before an underground covert who according to his buir were traditionalists and never removed their helmets unless it was in front of their child and spouse.

Boba and his family didn't adhere to this creed but they remained respectful and had not removed their helmets in their presence.

His father tilted his helmet in respect, "It is a pleasure to meet you Goran and I thank you for giving us refuge in your covert"

The armorer nods in acceptance, "You were in need of aid, this is the way."

Around the room, "this is the way" resounded in pride. Boba and Jango said it as well, feeling grateful for their people. "I am sure you are tired. Sleeping arrangements have been set up for you and your people. You are welcome to eat and rest."

Both men nodded in thanks and the armorer turned and left, leaving behind a few of the covert who chatted with the temporary addition of people to their home.

As Boba spoke in a soft voice to his father, a Mandalorian in blue armor walked into the room walking towards them. Boba tensed lightly at the build of the Mando; he was large and bulky; he was obviously strong. "Fett, I was told by the armorer to direct you and your people to your sleeping arrangements and show you where everything is located, follow me."

They spent the rest of the day walking around the covert They were shown the training room the dining area the classrooms for the foundlings and at last the sleeping area the space was empty only having various beds as the room was intended for guests no other Mandalorian was residing there but Boba’s covert.

Boba let himself fall into the bed sighing deeply in exhaustion they had been traveling for the last few days following the clues to a covert that could help them and they had ended up in Navarro a place Boba wasn't too fond of it was full of a low life bounty hunters and people with no honor.

It reminded Boba too much of what he used to be, who he served before he was reunited with his father after he thought him dead.

He wasn't proud of the person his grief caused him to become. Luckily his father dragged him out of that dark path and embraced him with the love he thought lost.

"Rest Bob'ika it's been a long week" His father's soft voice brought him back from his thoughts.

He was sitting in the bed beside him, his helmet on the pillow Boba sat up and removed his helmet laying it on the foot of the bed.

He nodded, "Don't have to tell me twice" he said his voice tired as he started to remove his armor, setting it down on the floor with care; finally, only the clothes under his armor remained and he laid down once again this time under the covers another sigh left him as he relaxed sleep clouding his mind.

"Good night ad'ika” The soft scruff of his father's beard tickled his forehead as his father carded his fingers in his exhausted son's hair. At that moment Boba felt once again like a child with his father's comforting voice and touch.

His sleep was peaceful and dreamless.
