Summary:

Everything was fine, everything wasn't perfect, but still fine.

Until he arrived/He came into the picture.

Adrien Agreste fought against many demons in the past years, some more dangerous than others but they'd never tried to kill him,

But now he had to fight his biggest demon of all: His own self,

And what is he after?

Marinette of course.

Notes:

To anyone reading this section: Thank you so much for even clicking on this fic! It took me multiple months(I think I started around September last year) to write this whole rollercoaster and somehow the worst thing about writing all of this was the summary itself which I struggled on but oh well, Thanks so much!

I also would like to say that fic contains multiple trigger warnings but I make sure to read every chapter again before posting it so I'll warn you guys about the warnings so if anything bothers you, you can just avoid those parts.

Another thing I would like to say is thanks to aDeceased_Tulip and momonilla for beta reading this fic, you guys are the best!

I always love Yandere Adrien fics and for the longest time wanted to write my own so I introduce this fic of mine which I hope you'll enjoy :D

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Shattered Mirror

Chapter Text

The door slowly creaked open, its sharp wood scratching against the floor as a demonic creature with black smoke for skin and poison green eyes stubbled into the room.

It wobbled into the middle of a small room, the walls were a plain brown with only one picture. There was a single window with a flowing curtain to crash with air as it screamed a howling noise even though there was no wind outside.

A drawer probably filled with the same outfit was sitting on the opposite wall of the bed right next to the creature. On it lay a simple mirror.

It turned around to see the male on the bed, he hadn’t moved an inch. It groaned in frustration as its skin split open and a bony limb brought out food from out of nowhere.

“Seriously, when is your stupid crush going to go away,” It muttered as the limb placed the food right next to the male’s head.

He still didn’t bother to move.

“Ignoring me huh? In case you forgot in the last 5 years, my name is Plagg and we used to hang out back when you actually used your voice, you know,” He glared at the boy’s back yet flinched when he responded.

“I know who you are Plagg,” A soft reply was heard yet it didn’t sound like it hadn’t been used at all.

“Then get up and actually spend some time with me you know!” Plagg demanded. “It’s not fun when you’re practically the devil’s son’s only butler who he hasn’t killed yet!”

“Then I suggest you get another job,” A calm reply was quipped back at him.

Rage roared through Plagg as he forcefully made one of his many limbs go back into him before he stomped out of the room, slamming the door in the process.

Not that Claus noticed anyway.

He simply rolled onto his back and let out a deep sigh.

5 years,

And nothing had gotten better.

He missed her.

So much.

So much that he could still see the distraught look on her face from years ago yet it was still fresh in his mind.

He wondered if she was even more beautiful than she had been 5 years ago. Then that thought once again sent him back 5 years ago into the past.

He sighed as he turned sideways on his side and stared at the weird assortment of mashed arrangements Plagg had given him this time. He wasn’t even hungry, there was no need when he was dying for his eternal hunger for Flower Star.

So why should he be a fool and attempt to fill himself by other methods?

No one could understand, he blinked at the soft face that was staring right back at him, his hands itched to even just touch the warm flesh calling his soul.

His hand had that exact thought and lifted itself to brush against the dream that had been haunting him for years.

Only for it to come back splattered with food.

Claus grumbled and collapsed on the pillow, shutting his eyes. He just wanted sleep, or sweet delicate dreams.

He just wanted his wish to come true, anyway, anyhow,

No matter what.

He had only just closed his eyelids when a blue flash surrounded the room and was glowing brightly. His eyes quickly shot open and he sat up to see what was in his room.

A simple glowing blue portal awaited him.

Most would probably question the timing, the moment, what was going on,

But the only thing going through Claus’s brain was the fact his wish was about to come true.

He crawled out of bed faster than he could even register what his feet were doing and he was in front of the portal.

It showed a city, not like hell, this city was bright, full of happiness, big sun, no screaming. He glanced down at the area below the portal and actually saw humans walking around.

Another world.

Flower Star appeared, she was waving and pointing to the portal, the hallucination smiling as it tried to convince him to go in.

It was right though in a way. There was no way he would ever see his own Flower Star ever again, what happened 5 years ago caused that to happen, if this was another world then there would be a new Flower Star.

He could have her fall in love with him all over again, they could finally have the happily ever after that she promised him when he proposed to her at just 12 years old.

He shook his head, the past was the past, this was the present.

And he would make sure nothing would ever come between him and his eternal happiness with this new Flower Star,

Father wasn’t here to ruin everything this time.

However, a thought bounced in his head.

What if there was another him,

He could come in between him and Flower Star, if they weren’t already in love.

A wry smile crawled onto Claus’s face,

Then he would just have to get rid of him then.

He placed his hand into the portal and watched it shine in the warm sunlight of this other world.

Nothing could stop him now.

He swiftly dashed into the portal, it shut off the moment his right leg went in.

Cars drove around, people talking about their misfortunes and mistakes or simple happiness at material items.

The random drunkard was dancing in front of a crowd while simultaneously embarrassing his wife, the yelling abusive girlfriend was yelling at the poor boyfriend who cheated on her with her innocent best friend who had recently started selling drugs, the children were running around playing with one another while ignoring the one child who desperately wanted to be friends but had no social skills whatsoever and thought it wasn’t normal so they bullied the others kids to feel better about themselves.

Claus glanced at each and every one of them, Paris didn’t seem all that different from Hell anyway.

Or maybe that was just his opinion.

He moved away from the edge of the rooftop and made his way towards the stairs that led down, he gripped the cold metal bars of the railing and climbed down the three story building that he was currently living in after helping the former family find another place to live.

They must really love it up there in the sky.

He finally reached the ground floor and walked through his barely furnished living room to stand at the open window that overlooked a billboard.

A certain fragrance ad billboard.

Of a certain guy named Adrien.

He grew annoyed just at the name, it was his old name he hated after all, so just the fact the guy still kept this name set off some alarms in his demented mind.

It looked like he had finally found the other him, not personally but not on good terms either.

If you call falling in front of another billboard with his face when he arrived here good terms.

The family of raccoons that he startled would agree with him.

He chuckled as he remembered how they tried to bite him and attack before he killed their strongest with a curse placed on it.

It didn’t take them long after that to run away,

He turned around and closed the window as he walked back to the other side of the room and proceeded to look at the list of things he found about himself.

He had a stupid rich kid life.

He was a stupid probably bratty model.

And he went to a hellhole called Francois Dupont,

That would also become a place Claus would have to attend if he wanted any leads on where Flower Star would be.

He internally groaned, homeschooling was bad enough, now he actually had to go to school,

He was starting to regret this when a warmth started reaching up his empty cold soul, he grasped his chest as thoughts of Flower Star filled his mind, what she would look like, what she would feel like,

Suddenly, school seemed like a paradise,

His cheeks bloomed as he got up and started walking to the only mirror in the room,

He took one look at himself and frowned, he then closed his head and shook his head multiple times to get the result he needed.

When he slowly opened them, he was pleased to see himself with midnight black hair blocking his eyes. He still had the same body structure but decided to keep that way.

He swept his hair up to reveal his poison green pupils and promptly dropped his bangs back down.

He had chosen this specific hairstyle because no one had the right to look at his eyes, they were way too similar to Adrien’s and he was willing to bet his multiple fangirls would be fast enough to spot the color,

Yet he liked his hair being like this, blond was getting boring, black suited him better.

He just hoped Flower Star would love him this way, and if she didn’t then he could just change it.

A grin made its way onto his face and he didn’t even try to stop it.

Time for his happily ever after.
