He had always wondered how a turtle shell felt and he really wanted to touch them, but he knew they didn't like to be petted. Ah fuck it, I'll notice if they don't like it.
Jan slowly extended his hand to Scar (he was still a bit scared of Spike's habit of biting fingers) and started stroking over his hard shell.
To his surprise, Scar didn't pull away or try to attack him, no he just stood still, letting him slowly pet him. And to Nace’s surprise who had just reappeared on the balcony. "Are you come… Hey, they don't even let me do that! How did you…?"
"Animals love me", Jan said, smirking.
"Me too", Nace blurted out.
