Like a moth to flame…or a lamp

Summary:

You were waiting for a tow truck when a huge monster scooped you up into four massive arms and took off into the sky on beautiful wings. Being kidnapped by a skeleton version of mothman was not on your bingo card for the year.

[100 words a chapter (or more) of reader being wooed and doted on by mothman Horror]

Notes:

Because I wanted to get back into writing. What better way than to do a cute lil romance?
Note: in this fic’s world, cryptids are real but rare. Picturing Horror as a Cecropia (silk) Moth: red floof around his body and fuzzy antennae, with the fluff and bones blending into the wing pattern when folded down.

Chapter Text

Your vehicle broke down on a desolate stretch of highway, help incoming.

Unfortunately, you waited in front of the vehicle’s headlights. In a split second, you were airborne, securely held by four arms. You’re snugly cradled to a massive bony chest attached to a body that dwarfed you two-three times over.

…apparently, mothmen could be skeletal.

A single red eyelight focused on you.

”…missed you.” A deep voice rumbled as large bony fingers soothingly traced along your back. “…not gonna lose you again.”

You issue out the loudest scream known to mankind as you’re carefully flown through the night sky.
