It started, as most of these things do, innocently enough.
With a notebook left out on the dorm room dining table. The room was empty as the whole class had mostly gone about their own business for the day. It was around dinner time that the chaos began.
The main door to the dorms burst open as Ashido led Kirishima and Kaminari in behind her. Kirishima was carrying a small plastic bag of takeout. “Shame Bakugou and Sero have to work a little late,” Kirishima said. “This food smells so good dude.”
“I know right? I’m salivating.” Kaminari grinned “My stomach is rumbling so hard!”
Kirishima put the food down on the table and started to look through the portions. But it was Ashido who spied the notebook. “Someone left their notebook out,” she said. She picked it up “Don’t wanna get food on it!!” She went to put it down in the living room area when she thought better. If she knew who it belonged to she could make sure to tell them she moved it. So, she opened the book to see.
Hero Analysis for the Future.
Her eyes got wide. This was a highly coveted Midoriya notebook. She squealed loud enough for the boys to pause in their premeal hype-up. “What’s up, Mina?” Kaminari asked.
She turned to them and slammed the notebook on the table. “It’s a Midoriya notebook!” she cried. “He never lets us see into them! I wonder what he wrote about me! He always has such cool ideas!”
Kaminari practically jumped on her to get to the notebook “I wanna see! I bet he’s got some idea for a super move I can use!”
“Wait!” Kirishima cried “Guys! Midoriya likes to keep that stuff secret. We shouldn’t invade his privacy like that and read his stuff! That’s not very manly at all. Men respect other men’s personal boundaries.”
“Yeah but Kiri,” Ashido argued. “Isn’t it more manly to try and get stronger? Midoriya left this notebook out so clearly he’s not that pressed to keep its contents a secret. Besides I just gotta know!”
Before anyone could argue one way or another Ashido opened the notebook to a random page.
But it wasn’t hero analysis. No, not all.
It was a page filled with little notes and hearts in all the margins. Ashido stared down at the page. It took her brain a few seconds to catch up to what her eyes were seeing. She read, her eyebrows shooting further and further up her forehead. “Eh? EH? EH?”
They have the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen. Like crystals or starlights... I could stare at them all day long. I think about them at night. I see those perfect eyes in my dreams. Their hands look so soft. I want to hold them. I think our fingers would interlock perfectly together.
I want to give them my last name [REDACTED] Midoriya... It rolls off the tongue! I think we’d be so great together. But they’d never return my feelings.
It’s going to drive me insane. Every time I see them I just want to kiss their perfect lips. Run my hands over their body. I won’t be able to control myself forever. I’m so afraid every time I talk to them it’s just going to spill out. I’ll see them and the words ‘I love you’ are going to fall right out of my mouth. I don’t know what to do.
Ashido could hear her heartbeat in her ears. “Oh my GOD!” she cried and pointed at the page “MIDORIYA IS IN LOVE?”
“Woah!” Kirishima cried.
“You’re kidding!” Kaminari yelled.
“DEKU-KUN IS WHAT?” Uraraka screamed.
The three gathered around the notebook all let out various screams. Ashido covered the book with her body “Nothing!” she cried.
“DEKU-KUN IS IN LOVE?” Uraraka cried. She had just come back with Asui and Iida behind her. “Give me that notebook! Who does he love? Who is it? Is it me?”
“Uraraka-san!” Iida cried out “Please calm yourself! Now, what is this about Midoriya-kun being in love?”
“Yeah kero, I wanna hear the gossip.”
Ashido laughed “That’s why I love you Tsu.” She stood up and held the notebook. “We found one of Midoriya’s notebooks. And there’s this passage that talks about how much he loves someone!”
“WHO?” Uraraka asked. She ran over and tugged the notebook out of Ashido’s hands. She read the passage over “My eyes are like crystals, right?” she looked around “Brown crystals are a thing, right? RIGHT?”
Asui put her finger to the corner of her lips “I mean, I have heard of chocolate diamonds before, kero.”
That made Uraraka’s shoulders relax. “Yeah, chocolate diamonds...” She frowned “There’s got to be more right? Do you think he wrote more about me?”
“How do you know it’s about you?”
All eyes turned to the speaker. Who would shoot Uraraka down in this moment? Everyone and their mother knew Uraraka was in love with Midoriya so who would so heartless as to spoil her delusion? Oddly enough it was Kirishima.
He stood with his arms crossed, looking away. His face was turning pink “I mean, what he wrote was pretty vague. It could be a lot of people. I mean... That’s just as likely to be about me as it is to be about you. Plus my gaydar is pretty good. Midoriya definitely likes guys.”
“Oh, good point!” Kaminari said, “He does have his whole room themed after a muscular guy.”
“But you don’t have soft hands!” Uraraka said “I love you Kirishima-kun but I don’t think you’re the one Deku-kun has a crush on. I’d sooner think it was Iida-kun over you.”
“What if it is me?” Iida asked. “Midoriya-kun is a very special friend. He saved my life. I wouldn’t mind if he...” he trailed off. “But I agree with Kirishima-kun. We don’t know enough to decide who it is Midoriya-kun has feelings for. We should simply put the notebook back and forget-”
Ashido put her foot down “No way! Midoriya has got it bad for whoever this is. I think it’s our duty as hero students to find out who he likes and make sure they get together. We need more information. Right now we have almost nothing. I mean with this it could be anyone.” Her face flushed dark “It could even be me...” she giggled at the thought. Her and Midoriya. He could bench-press her. With one hand!
“But-” Iida went to argue.
“Iida-kun,” Uraraka said “We owe this to Deku-kun. It’s our duty as his friends to find this mystery person and get them together.”
The word duty always got Iida going. “Yes!” he said at once. I’m in. We’re going to find out who it is Midoriya-kun likes!” He secretly hoped it was him. Midoriya was so sweet. A treasured friend. To have him as more... Well it made Iida’s heart flutter.
“Okay! I bet there’s more information in here somewhere...” Uraraka put the notebook down and began to flip through the pages. “Let’s see... ‘How I’d Destroy UA If I Were A Villain’ nope,” she turned to another page “‘My Full Proof Plan To Stop The League Of Villains’ ugh uninteresting!” she kept flipping “Wait wait- no damn. This is just ‘The Teachers Who Are Banging And Think They’re Being Slick About It’.” She sighed “Where is- AHA!”
It was another page covered in hearts. It read in big loopy letters;
Their quirk is so amazing. The way they fight... Ever since I first met them I knew I wanted them. They’re so cool! It’s such a strong quirk.
“That’s it? The person Deku-kun is in love with has a strong quirk?”
“What’s this about Deku being in love?” Two more people had entered the room. Bakugou and Todoroki had just come home for the day. They stood in the entry to the dining room. Bakugou had his hand on his hip, eyes narrowing on the notebook. “Deku is in love?”
Todoroki’s eyes grew wide “...He is?” he asked.
“Yeah,” Kaminari filled them in “We’re trying to figure it out! All we really know is they have eyes like crystals, soft hands, and a strong quirk!”
“He’s in love with me!” Both of them said at once. Then, Todoroki and Bakugou turned to face each other, both yelling “No, he’s in love with ME!”
Uraraka put the notebook down “No!” she yelled “Deku-kun is obviously in love with me! I have a strong quirk. I could send you both to space!”
“Get fucked Round Cheeks. It’s obviously me the nerd is creaming his pants over. I have the softest hands in Japan.” He held up his hands. They did look very soft. Like butter. Butter Hands Bakugou, they ought to call him. “Besides we have all that history and shit.”
Todoroki puffed his chest out “But Midoriya and I have an unbreakable bond. He saved me then I saved him. We’re friends and we push each other forward. You might be his childhood friend but I am his friend now.” He glared at Bakugou. “Besides the Author has a clear bias in my favor.”
“What?” Everyone asked.
“Never mind.”
To be fair, he’s not wrong.
Uraraka grabbed them both “I am the Canon love interest! It’s obviously me! Deku-kun gets blushy around me. There’s no way it’s not me. Of anyone in this class, it’s me. ”
“Well, maybe Midoriya-chan’s love isn’t in our class?” Asui asked. “In all the notes about them he never once said it was a classmate.”
Kaminari raised his hand “Yeah but who does Midoriya hang out with who’s not in our class?”
The entire room went silent for a moment. Then, all together it hit them.
“SHINSOU!”
Bakugou blasted the dorm door down. “We’re gonna tear that General Ed Extra limb from limb!” His palms were smoking.
“If I’m going to lose it’s not going to be to him,” Todoroki said, his scar already lighting on fire.
Uraraka held her hands together “I’ll make him weightless and spin him in the air until he pukes!”
The rest ran after them as they ran to the General Ed dorms. “Wait!” Iida called “Violence isn’t the answer!”
“Yeah! Shinsou is cool! We have no idea it’s him!” Kaminari yelled.
But Uraraka, Todoroki, and Bakugou weren’t listening. They were on a mission. They approached the General Ed dorm. Luckily for them, Shinsou was coming out of it. He looked up as the gaggle of hero students approached. “...What the hell?” he asked quietly.
“QUICK!” Todoroki yelled, “SEE IF HIS HANDS ARE SOFT!”
“Don’t mind if I do...” Kaminari mumbled. He zipped under Todoroki and approached Shinsou. “Hey, lemme hold that.”
He took Shinsou’s hand.
“Well?” Bakugou asked.
Kaminari rubbed Shinsou’s hand. He pulled it up to his face and inspected it. “I dunno, I mean I guess it’s soft?”
Bakugou pushed him off and held Shinsou’s hand. “This hand isn’t soft at all!”
“Let me try!” Ashido cried.
“He’s got two hands!” Iida yelled. “Line up on either side of Shinsou-kun and take turns!”
Shinsou stood there, bewildered. “What the fuck is going on???”
Uraraka rubbed Shinsou’s hand on her cheek. “Do you moisturize? You might want to consider it.”
Shinsou snatched his hand back “Whatever this is, I want nothing to do with it.”
“Midoriya is in love with someone and we’re trying to figure out who,” Kirishima explained.
“I want something to do with it,” Shinsou deadpanned.
“Okay,” Ashido said. She held up the journal. “I think we need to look back in the journal.” She started flipping through it. “Maybe he wrote more-” she stopped “Aha!” She found a new page.
They’re so amazing. Their muscles are pretty impressive too! I’ve always liked a fit body. That and their smile is so sweet. I could stare at it all the time. It fills me with so much hope.
A look of horror crossed on all their faces. The group of students all looked at each other. “No,” Uraraka said. “It couldn’t be...?”
“I mean... Kaminari said it earlier,” Kirishima said. “His room is decorated like him...”
The entire group ran at once to the school building proper. Todoroki blasted their way through the front door (it was unlocked. Blasting it was unneeded, but cool). He and Bakugou led the charge down the hall to the teacher’s lounge. It was mostly empty aside from two teachers.
Aizawa and All Might were chatting to each other quietly. They looked up as the kids rolled up. “Hey, what are you all up to? It’s a day off. Shouldn’t you-”
“LEAVE DEKU-KUN ALONE!”
“SEDUCTRESS!”
“I’LL RIP YOU APART!”
Todoroki, Uraraka, and Bakugou had to be restrained. “Sorry!” Iida took the lead “But we discovered Midoriya is in love with someone and we’re trying to get to the bottom of who it is! All Might is a likely answer.”
“Wait,” Todoroki stopped struggling. “It can’t be All Might.”
“How ya figure?” Kirishima asked.
“All Might is his father.”
Aizawa smacked his forehead “I can’t deal with this.”
Shinsou slipped to the front “Who’s to say it isn’t Aizawa?” he asked. “Lots of people get crushes on their teachers.”
Everyone turned to him. Even All Might. “Even if he was, which I don’t think he is I wouldn’t reciprocate anyway. He’s my student. And also I don’t care who it is.” He went to leave the room. He pushed his way through the students before he found himself face-to-face with three more students.
The UA Big Three stood in the doorway. Togata stood in front, flanked by Amajiki and Nejire on either side. “Hey!” Togata said, “We heard Midoriya’s got a crush on someone?”
“How the hell did you chuckle fucks find out?” Bakugou asked.
Nijire leaned in front of him, tilting her head cutely. “I mean, you guys have been running around campus screaming about who it could be. Soft hands, big muscles, bright smile, and eyes like crystals-”
On Togata’s other side, Amajiki whined “Midoriya is gonna steal my man...”
“What?” Togata asked.
“Don’t worry about it...”
“Anyway! I figured I’d find out if my little Kouhai has a crush on me or not.” Togata smiled at the group “I gotta let him down easy.” He rubbed his chin, closing his eyes in thought. “I love him more like a little brother.”
Asui took the notebook from Ashido. “There’s got to be more information on this mystery crush, kero.” She started flipping through it. “Let’s see... I found something.”
Being with them is all I can think about anymore. But I know if I told anyone about my feelings they’d call me insane. Our love is forbidden... Is it weird that sort of turns me on?
“Forbidden romance?”
“Who could that be talking about?”
Todoroki’s eyes went wide “ Is it All Might? Is Midoriya in love with his own father...?”
“I’m not his father!” All Might said. “Yet.”
Everyone in the room looked at All Might. “...Is that like a ‘I’m going to adopt Young Midoriya’ thing or a ‘I’m going to marry his Mom kind of thing’?” Aizawa asked.
“...I’d rather not say.”
“Okay. As long as no adult is trying to have sex with Midoriya I don’t care.” Aizawa tried to leave again only for more people to enter the already cramped teacher’s lounge.
“Dad?” Todoroki asked.
Endeavor and Hawks now stood in the doorway. “Hey ya’ll,” Hawks said with a wink. “We heard Deku might have a cruuuush. I mean I think we fit the qualifications.” He motioned between himself and Endeavor “And we don’t want the little guy to suffer so we came out to see if we needed to let him down gently.”
“I’m not looking forward to this...” Endeavor mumbled.
Todoroki put his face in his hands “If Midoriya is in love with my father, I’m killing myself.”
“Yeah take the rest of us out with you,” Uraraka said. “I don’t wanna live in a world where I lose out on Deku-kun to Endeavor.”
“I mean,” Kirishima began “It’s not like Endeavor is going to accept Midoriya’s feelings even if he had them for him!”
Endeavor nodded “I may abuse children both physically and mentally but having sex with them is where I draw the line. Only a villain would do something like that.”
As soon as the words left Endeavor’s lips the window was blasted through. The League of Villains (or the ones that matter, in this case the sexy ones that get shipped with Deku) forced their way into the school, rubble lying everywhere.
“Prepare for trouble!” Shigaraki yelled.
“And make it double!” Toga cried jumping out from behind him.
Shigaraki struck a pose “To protect the world from devastation!”
“To unite the people within our nation!” Toga cried.
“To denounce the evils of truth and love!”
Toga jumped up and down “To extend our reach to the stars above!”
“Shigaraki!”
“Toga!”
To the side, Dabi leaned against a desk. Shigaraki and Toga looked at him expectantly. He rolled his eyes and said “Meowth that’s right.”
Shigaraki and Toga high-fived. “We’re here for Midoriya. He’s in love with all of us! Forbidden romance, gem eyes!” he motioned to himself “It’s got to be the League. Collectively.”
“Hey wait that’s the League of Villains!” someone called. “I know we’re trying to find out who Midoriya is in love with but aren’t they like... Super wanted right now?”
“OH YEAH!”
“Shit,” Shigaraki cursed.
The fighting began.
Endeavor quickly used his firepower to get them outside. Everyone went at it really hard and it was super cool. Trust me guys. Oh man, you should have seen this fight. Todoroki swooshed while Bakugou went BOOM BOOM and Dabi did a little SHOOOOO. It was NEAT guys I promise.
When the fight was done, everyone lay strewn about, injured. Soon only Shigaraki, Todoroki, Bakugou, and Uraraka were standing. All four of them looked beat to hell. Bakugou held out his hands, explosions on his palms. “You can’t-” he was panting “Keep me down!”
“Yeah!” Shigaraki growled “I know I killed you twice. Your HEART EXPLODED!”
Todoroki nodded “Yeah that was pretty cool when you came back. Really hype. I mean. I figured it was going to happen. The rival dies because his heart explodes? Really not a cool way for you to go out. You’re the fan favorite. The fans would have been pissed.”
“What is up with you and the meta stuff today?” Uraraka asked.
“I don’t know! All I know is I love Midoriya more than life itself and I am desperate for him to love me back!” Todoroki said, adding the extra layer of angst.
Uraraka began to cry in frustration. “I love him so much!”
“At this point, I mostly just need to know who it is! It better be me because I’m the BEST!” Bakugou yelled.
“I’ll... kill you brats... Until you stay dead!”
Before they could charge at each other, a sweet giggle floated through the air. “Hey gu- WOAH WHAT IS HAPPENING?”
It was... Midoriya!
Everyone turned to face him, their mouths agape. Even the people who went down from the battle all sat up and looked.
Midoriya looked especially good. His street clothes of a simple hoodie and shorts just seemed extra cute today. Everyone kind of wanted to kiss him. EVERYONE LEGAL. The adults just want to pat his head a little. Nothing untoward here. He looked near tears “You’re all fighting?” he asked. His voice trembled.
“Well, yeah Midoriya.” Todoroki motioned at them. “The League of Villains are wanted mass murderers who definitely aren’t my brother.”
“Yeah...” Dabi mumbled.
“Still! I came here to share great news and you’re all fighting and hurt and I didn’t get to break any of my bones!” He wiped his tears “I finally got the courage. I went Plus Ultra and confessed to my crush.”
The crowd gasped. “Deku-kun!” Uraraka yelled “Wait-” she looked around “It wasn’t any of us! Who the hell did you confess to?”
Midoriya blushed. “Well...” He stepped aside revealing his crush.
Mineta stood. He flashed a cool pose. “I rizzed him up. All those alpha bro podcasts and mewing sessions helped me bag this hottie!”
“MINETA?”
“He makes me laugh,” Midoriya said sweetly.
Kaminari sat up “Mineta, I thought you were straight(derogatory)?”
“What can I say? He’s so dummy thicc the clap of his asscheeks is alerting the guards.” He reached up and slapped Midoriya’s butt.
Midoriya giggled “Mi-Mincchan!” he covered his face with his hands “Not in front of my friends!”
Mineta winked “No problem baby girl. Why don’t we head back to the dorms so we can be alone?”
He nodded and held his new boyfriend’s hand. “I’ll show you my new move! It’s called the Gary Indiana Smash.”
The happy couple walked off, leaving the rest of them behind.
