Chapter Text
Lucius was annoyed. It was supposed to be a normal day, like any other, but no. The ministry needed to stick their nose into his business. He was forced to get rid of many dark artifacts, which includes a certain diary that the dark lord gave his family.

Now he stands in front of a muggle Library with the diary hidden in his robes. The Library looked old but it was definitely a muggle library. Not only because of the people who gave Lucius strange looks due to his robes but also because of the book displayed in the window.
A picture book about a witch living in a house of sugar. The blond man sneers at the meer idea. Which muggle came up with something like that?
Lucius turns away from the window, casts a quick notice me not charm with his wand hidden under his long sleeve then proceeds to walks into the library. The muggle librarian at the counter is busy talking with a man, which suits lucius very since she also ignored the bell that rang when the door got opened.
The least visited section in wizarding books stores is always the history section which most likely also applies for muggle library's, Lucius assumes with distaste. The mere thought of wizards having anything in common with muggles sends unpleasant shivers down his back.
He makes his way over to the history section of the muggle library. No people are in sight nor near that part of the library so he pulls out the book and places it on the very bottom of the shelf behind many other books.

Harry wakes up by a loud banging again his cupboard like every other day. The only good thing is that dudley will be gone for the next two days because he is going to sleep at his friend piers' house.
Harry stands up with a sigh and opens the cupboard door which aunt petunia unlocked before. Dudley runs past him, backpack in hand. Harry, glad that he jumped out the way to avoid getting run over by dudley, walking into the kitchen where petunia already screeches.
"Do the dishes, boy."
"Yes aunt Petunia.", the small boy says.
He starts making eggs and bacon, hopeful that he will get some of the rest because uncle Vernon has already gone to work earlier.
He notices that his cousin is busy watching TV while Aunt Petunia goes over the contents of dudley's backpack to make sure that he didn't forget anything. Harry uses that moment to stuff some half raw egg into his mouth, scared that he will not get any food even if his uncle isn't here at the moment.

Harry was right, he didn't get anything. Again. He was allowed to go to the bathroom really quick before his aunt dragged him out to drive dudley to his friend and of course Harry couldn't stay home alone, because his aunt thought that he would burn the house down or something like that.
Sitting in the car next to dudley is as uncomfortable as always. Dudley wasted no time to kick and hit Harry while his mother drove dudley to his friend's house.
The raven-haired boy was glad when they finally arrived and dropped dudley off, only for his aunt to talk to the mother of dudley's friend for a very long while. Harry almost fainted in the car because of the heat from the summer sun.
Harry's day got significantly better when Petunia announced that she needed to go shopping, which meant for Harry a free day to go to the library across the mall in which his aunt would definitely spend her entire day in.
When they arrived and aunt petunia told him to go to the library without doing any freakish things or destroying anything, then told him that she would get him when she is ready, which takes more then four hours every time.

When Harry arrived at the library he felt comfortable. It was always warm in here and smelled like old books. Even if the librarian is doing so poorly at her job and only flirts with men who are significantly younger then her.
He doesn't get bothered by her anymore and just continues to his favorite section. History.
Harry always loved to read about the war's and evolution of the years. The boy also finds it entertaining to read about decisions of politicians and thinking about better methods to solve certain problems from the past.
He arrives at the section and sits down on the ground to look at the red book that he put back last time because his aunt made him leave.
He notices that the book is not where it was, but swapped with another blue covered book.
This confuses him, since no one would even look at these books execpt him and most definitely not the librarian.
When he takes the book out of the gap, a black thin book falls in the space where he took the large red covered book out of. The book with the black leather binding makes him curious and he takes it out then places the book he wanted to continue before back into the empty space, said book suddenly became very boring and uninteresting.
The small black book doesn't have a loan list anywhere in the book, where normally the name and date from the person lending it is written down. It is also completely blank execpt a name on the back of the cover.
In golden letters stands: T.M.Riddle
This definitely doesn't belong to this library, Harry was sure of that. Maybe he could use this book for himself to take notes for school. Wouldn't that be considered stealing? Harry considered. No it would probably not, no one would miss it, and even if, they could buy a new one, those books don't cost too much. Like they say, 'finders keepers'. He pulled the forgotten red book out again, put the black notebook under it then sat on one of the couches where no one saw him and he could read in peace.

When he got back to prived drive 4 and locked into his cupboard after at least a bit of dinner, he almost couldn't contain his excitement to write some notes into his new book.
He took a pencils from under his mattress out. Harry got this pencil when he started school, even if it was one of dudley's old and used ones, he was still happy about it.
Harry took out one if his lend math books from the school and wrote the short math task on the blank page of the new book. Then looked up at his school book again to calculate the answer.
The task was rather easy so he figured it out quickly. he looked back onto the thin book again to write his answer down but the page was blank. Harry looked at the page confused. He was pretty sure he wrote the task down.
Harry grabbed the pencil tighter and wrote his answers down quickly. When his answers also sank into the paper he looked at it shocked.
"How is that possible..." , he whispered to himself.
He thought for a moment about what to write and then decided to write: >My name is Harry Potter.<
The letters sank into the page and vanished. After a few seconds new words appeared: >Hello Harry Potter, my name is Tom Riddle.<
