One of my favorites so far. Something about being together with nothing but the grass beneath you, fireflies around you and night above you is special.
Chapter 4: Touching Your Face
Summary:
Kris caresses Susie's face. Susie reacts accordingly.
Notes:
This one took FOREVER because I actually decided to color it in (which is very rare, so enjoy it because it might be a while before I complete another colored piece again).
I'm glad I decided to go through with making this because I was art first embarrassed by it and thought it was poorly drawn -- a notion I quickly shook off because art is art and imperfections give charm.
This is also my first time trying my signature out...ooh!!!!! I tried adding a background for the colored version, but each app + website I used rendered the art in super crappy quality, so I was like nooooo it must be lossless! If anyone has any recommendations for a free website or program that can create background images for art without causing said loss of quality for art please lmk thank you thank you thank you

Susie rests her chin on Kris's head.
Based on Toby's recent bsky post that one of the first facts about Susie is that she "rests her chin on your head". I just knew I had to draw this out Krusie style - with a hurt and comfort twist.

As of 6/30/2025, this is my most kudos'd work on the archive! I am so grateful for each and every one of you! Krusie means so much to me: I've been shipping them for five years and I'm still going strong. Seeing Krusie grow from semi-niche to one of the most popular pairings alongside Suselle (which is also a dope ship in its own right) has been incredible. Within the span of a week, my partner got hit by a car and my cat died in my arms. I guess I officially earned by "AO3 Author" badge with how much shit has hit the fan...heh. Yeah, life hurts a lot right now. Kudos and kind comments are especially appreciated right now. Art, writing and the people in my life help me persist through the pain. I am glad for ao3's continued existence and support of artists like me by not selling out to ads, corporations or buying into censorship.

Seeing the outpour of kind comments on my last post has really touched me. Thank you so much. Seriously. I am so grateful for each and every one of you that interacts with my art. I can't convey how nice it feels to look forward to something --- a new comment in my inbox --- after feeling numb the past few weeks. Although I am still grieving and still numb (to a slowly lessening extent as time passes), art remains my haven and I welcome anyone else who also finds solace in what I write and draw. Again, thank you everyone for your kind wishes for my wellbeing and my partner's (who has almost entirely recovered yay!).

I surfed old webpages for an hour to find out the origin of the gif after various reposts on DeviantArt and Reddit, and found that the gif originally came from someone anonymous on an old thread on desuarchive. So that was an interesting rabbit hole to travel down.
Nonetheless, enjoy the art I made based on it!
