Prompt: "Please don't cry."

Notes:

I am trying to get myself back into writing again so I'm doing some of the whumptober prompts as little drabbles.

Work Text:

“Please don’t cry.”

 

Sarah reached out and brushed away a tear as it fell down Tally’s cheek, “This is what you wanted, was it not?”

 

Shaking her head Tally choked back a sob, “Not this, never this, I would never wish you to die. I only wanted the truth.”

 

“And the truth has consequences. So do your actions. But you didn’t think that far ahead did you?”

 

Tally clenched her fists and didn’t respond. Sarah leaned in, her hair brushing against Tally’s face, and whispered, “You broke my heart.”

 

Sarah pulled back and was met with furious eyes as Tally spit back, “You broke mine first.”

 

The older witch turned to leave but paused to say, “I’m sorry I couldn’t be what you wanted me to be, Tally. But you became everything I knew you could be.”

 

Sarah walked away leaving Tally standing there crying soaking in her grief.
