Chapter Text

It was getting late at night, Caitlyn and Vi were getting ready for a ballroom gala hosted by the Piltover Council. Vi was putting on her new jacket over the new crop top she had on. It was more of the fancier variety. Caitlyn had just finished putting on her fancy blue dress and earrings.

"And I thought I took forever, cupcake!" Vi would move her leg onto the bed so she can tie her boots "I will be out front, ok?" She asked Caitlyn 

"Yeah yeah, I'll be right out. I just got to do one more thing." Caitlyn said as she went into the bathroom

Caitlyn closes the bathroom door and leans against the door. She was breathing heavily while deciding to walk forward. There was a small, pink box in the trash and as she was walking towards the sink. She picks up what is a pregnancy test– and it was positive.

"O-Oh god....Oh god. How is this possible? It's not possible at all. No no no..." Caitlyn would start breath heavily

"Caitlyn, we got to go!" Vi would yell from the bottom of the stairs

"I'm coming...!" Caitlyn would adjust herself "Fuck...fuck fuck." She was nervous about everything and how she was going to tell Vi

After sometime, Caitlyn and Vi would walk into the party together while holding hands. Caitlyn was trying to keep her cool while Vi was still unaware. She would smile as Mel waved at them. Caitlyn would wave back as she took the lead as her and Vi still held hands. She lets go and hugs Mel. Caitlyn would pull away as Vi would shake Mel's hand as she was wasn't that much of a hugger.

"Glad you two could make it." Mel would say as she had a drink in her hand

"We would have been here sooner, but Caitlyn took her sweet time getting ready." Vi said as she chuckled a bit

"Oh stop! I wasn't that bad.." Caitlyn said as she jokingly gave a Vi a nudge

"Jayce and Viktor are here as well–" Mel said before Caitlyn interrupted 

"I need to talk to them." Caitlyn would say as she turned to Vi "Please mingle and try not cause a scene." She said to her while walking away to find Jayce and Viktor

"I always do, cupcake!" Vi said as she stood next to Mel as they both sipped their drinks

Caitlyn would walk around the party, talking to people as she was trying to find Jayce and Viktor. She still doesn't know how this is possible, in all fields that are scientific. Caitlyn saw Jayce talking to Viktor, she would rush over to them and got between them. She looked distraught and nervous.

"The three of us, we need to talk now." Caitlyn would say as she took Jayce's hand so they can talk in the office upstairs

As Caitlyn, Jayce and Viktor went upstairs to the main office, Vi and Mel would be socializing. The two of them don't talk much, they only talk because they both known Caitlyn. Vi would cheers with Mel as they sip their drinks, looking around the party.

Caitlyn, Jayce, and Viktor would walk into the office. She closes the door behind them as they stand near the desk. She walks to them, pacing back and forth. Viktor just stood there as Jayce watched Caitlyn, his friend was walking around the room all nervous-like. Before Jayce could say anything, Caitlyn would interrupt him.

"I am pregnant." Caitlyn said as she stood in front of the window then turns to look at Jayce

Jayce was caught off guard by the sudden announcement, and Viktor would just lean against the desk with the cane in his hand.

"What–? How is that possible?" Jayce why ask Caitlyn as he looked back at Viktor

"Hm, may I share an idea?" Viktor would ask "Jayce told me what he created for your and Vi's....private time. We still don't know how the arcane or hextech really works. Maybe, just maybe the....device altered Vi's DNA." He would say as he gotten off the desk, walking around with his cane.

"No, no no....Oh god no.." Caitlyn was breathing heavily as she leaned against the window 

"Caitlyn, you do have to tell Vi." Jayce said

"I know...!" Caitlyn would yell out 

"Do you ladies still...have the device?" Viktor would ask as he walked next to Jayce

"You can say what it is– Hexstrap." Caitlyn would say to Viktor

"–Hexstrap. Do you ladies still have it?" Viktor would ask Caitlyn again

"Yes. Why?" Caitlyn would ask him

"We need to study the affected arcane tech to see what happened." Viktor would say

"I'll bring it by when I can." Caitlyn would say as she headed to the door "I'm going to find Vi and tell her." She would say, walking out of the office to find Vi

After Caitlyn walked out of the office and down the stairs, she would look around the party to find Vi. She has to tell her, tonight. Vi would be at bar drinking as Caitlyn came up behind her, tapping her on the shoulder. Vi turned around and smile, kissing her on the lips and pulls away.

"Hey Cupcake. Want a drink to–?" Vi said before being cut off by Caitlyn 

"I have to tell you something. Lets get somewhere private." Caitlyn said as she held Vi's hand, leading her outside 

"Ok ok– Whoa." Vi laughs a bit as Caitlyn pulls her outside

The two of them stood outside, Vi was standing in front of Caitlyn as she paced back and forth. She saw that Caitlyn was nervous, taking her hands and made her look at her, their eyes locked with one another.

"I have to tell you something, and I just hope you don't react too harshly." Caitlyn said as she sat down and Vi joined her

"Cupcake– what is it?" Vi asked her

"I took a test. I threw up this morning." Caitlyn said as she handed her the test "Vi...babe, the Hexstrap, the arcane altered DNA, our DNA and created life." She started to tear up "I am so scared..probably the most I have been in a long time...I'm pregnant." Caitlyn said as her hands were shaking, tears running down her face as it ruined the makeup.

"I-I...." Vi would stand up and walking forward a bit to get some space

"Are you mad...? Please don't be mad. Say something...!" Caitlyn would say to her

Vi would then then turn around and run to Caitlyn, hugging in her arms and not letting go of her. This made Caitlyn stop tearing up and hug Vi back, the two holding each other.

"I am not mad, never. I would never be at something like this. I promise." Vi said as she leaned her forehead on Caitlyn's as they embrace one another as they smile "We shall figure this out, together." She would smile

The two of them would hold hands and smile, laughing happily as the two of them will be parents. The two would head home, so they can truly process what happened. Once home, they would have dinner and go to bed. Caitlyn would lay in Vi's arms as she held her close throughout the night.

Chapter Text

A few days later, Caitlyn and Vi were sitting in their breakfast nook for their morning tea as Caitlyn couldn't have coffee as she was currently pregnant. Vi couldn't help, but smile at Caitlyn the entire time as they both drank their tea. Caitlyn saw this and giggled a bit.

"What?" Caitlyn asked as she smiled

"Nothing, it's just I can't believe that this is our life now. Parents." Vi said as she smiled as well

"I know, right? It is crazy to think about." Caitlyn would smile as she stood up and brought her tea cup to the sink "I know it is early, but I think we should tell people. Today if you want to." She would suggest

"You know, I think that is a great idea. Who do we tell first?" Vi would ask her

"I was thinking Jinx– I mean Powder and Ekko. How does that sound?" Caitlyn would ask Vi as she started to put on her officer jacket

"I agree. I think that is a good idea." Vi would say as she stood up to put on her boots and make her way to the door

As the two make their way out the door, they walk the streets of Piltover. They hold each other's hands and try not to draw too much attention, but that was impossible. They are Caitlyn and Vi– Piltover's Finest. They are the ones that lead the attack against Noxus. Others were there yes, they don't forget the others that were there, but they are faces that people remember. They make their way to the bridge, walking across to the upside of Zaun where Jinx, Ekko, and Isha live and established a new 'Last Drop'. Vi walks in first then Caitlyn. The bar is doing very well, people from both Piltover and Zaun. They walk up to the counter and look up to see Isha sitting in a space above the bar.

"Hey kiddo. Have you seen my sister?" Vi would ask her ad she held Caitlyn's hand

With Isha being mute, she leans her head out of her little space and points to a office room.

"Thanks, Isha. Oh, and here's something I found for you." Vi tossed her a toy, smiling as she sees Isha smile

Vi and Caitlyn would walk up to the office door and open. They walk in and see Ekko and Jinx kissing. This made them laugh a bit. Jinx pulled away from Ekko and playfully pushed him away. Ekko would stand up and fix his top.

"Vi...Piltie." Ekko would say jokingly towards Caitlyn which she would laugh a bit

"What is Piltover's Finest doing in Zaun?" Jinx would ask the two

"Well sis, we have news." Vi would say as she looked at Caitlyn 

"We are having a baby. I am pregnant." Caitlyn would say as she saw the shocked looks on their faces

"Wow– um, congratulations." Ekko said to them

"How is that possible?" Jinx asked her

"A long story, but we thought you would like to know." Vi would say as she held Caitlyn's hand

"You guys were our first stop today. We going to tell my dad next. Have you seen him?" Caitlyn would ask her about her dad Tobias

Ekko would shake his head as he looked between all of them. Tobias was probably doing clinic work and that is probably where he is. Vi would hug Jinx as Caitlyn shook Ekko's hand as they left the bar. Jinx and Echo stood side by side as Isha was behind them.

"They will need help." Jinx said as she looked at Caitlyn and Vi leaving and the door closing

"Oh yeah, for sure." Ekko said as he also looked at them leaving

As Caitlyn and Vi left the Last Drop, they kiss each other as they start walking back across the bridge and back into Piltover. They would head over to Enforcer Headquarters as the next person in their stop was Steb. He was currently the Deputy Sheriff, so he was currently up in the office. Caitlyn and Vi walk into the planning room where he was as everyone else started to leave the room.

"Sheriff Kiramman....Vi." Steb said as he stood in front of them, hands behind his back

"Good to see you too, Steb." Vi said as she stood with Caitlyn

"We have news Steb." Caitlyn would say as she looked back at Vi then back at him "Me and Vi are having a baby." She said to him

"That's...That is good news indeed." Steb said 

"Yep. We are excited, but we do need to talk." Caitlyn said as she pulled up a chair and sat down "When I do leave for maternity, you will need to step up as interm-Sheriff of the Enforcers." She would say as Vi stood behind her

"When it comes to it, I will do my best." Steb said to Caitlyn as they shook hands

When the both of them stood up, alarms started and Enforcers outside the room started to run. Vi would open the door to ask about the alarms. Caitlyn and Steb stood behind her as Vi stood in the hallway. She looked at him then to Vi to see what was wrong. Vi would turn back as the Enforcer left the building to join the others.

"Vi– What's going on?" Caitlyn would ask her

"There was an explosion– at the Memorial Clinic..." Vi said sadly, knowing what was wrong

"Oh no– father....!" Caitlyn would run out of the room with Vi and Steb followed behind

Caitlyn had changed into her sheriff uniform while Vi and Steb gathered the Enforcers outside headquarters. She walked outside as Vi, Steb, and the other Enforcers followed her. Caitlyn wore her officer jacket and cap while her rifle was on her back in it's sling. Everyone was running as Caitlyn took the lead. Vi and Steb exchanged looks, knowing that Caitlyn needs to be calm right now. As they got to the clinic, there was fire and Enforcers carrying injured civilians and other Enforcers to safety. Vi would rush over to the clinic to see if she can find Tobias. Caitlyn stayed outside to help the injured.

"Tobias...!" Vi shouted 

Vi coughed from the smoke as she looked around for Tobias, but she couldn't find him. She then heard a man's cough, rushing forward to go to him and picked him up to help him walk to the door.

"What happened..?" Vi asked him

"Attack...someone bombed the clinic–" Tobias would say before being caught off

There was another explosion, people outside took cover while Caitlyn stood up as she looked scared and worried. Vi would look behind them where the explosion came from. Tobias looked at Caitlyn through the window, even though she can't see him.

"Take care of my Caitlyn." Tobias said as he got his hands on Vi's back

"Tobias– What are you doing...?!" Vi said before Tobias pushed her through the fire and out of the clinic

"Vi! Vi, where is my father?" Caitlyn would look up as she saw Tobias "Father.....?" She said

"Take care of each other....–" Tobias said before the clinic blew up again

"Father....!" Caitlyn would yell out as the clinic blew up and Vi gently tackled her to the ground, so she wasn't injured by the explosion.

As the smoke cleared, everyone stood up. The clinic was gone, rubble in the streets while flames and Amber's are still glowing. Caitlyn would be in shock, her family is gone and all she has is Vi. Vi saw how distraught Caitlyn was, reaching with her hand. Caitlyn would let out a blood curdling sceam which was followed by her falling to her knees as she started to cry. Vi got next to her and hugged her tightly in her arms. She held Caitlyn close, leaning in as their foreheads touch each other's. Caitlyn would lean into Vi's hug, it was the only thing now that can make her happy, she's the only person left that cares about her like her family did.

Time jump

5 days later || Kiramman Manor

Just like with her mother, Caitlyn would be forced to lay her father to rest. Unlike last time, she has Vi by her side through this entire thing. Caitlyn never got the chance to tell Tobias that he was going to be a grandfather. As Caitlyn and Vi stood in the Foyer, they watched as the casket closer in front of them. Vi in her formal clothes, wrapped her arms around Caitlyn as Enforcers lifted the casket and brought it to the burial site. Caitlyn and Vi were the last ones out as they followed the Enforcers. As they exit the manor, their eyes see all of the people that came to show their respect, even people from Zaun as his clinic worked with people still affected by shimmer.

After the gathering of everyone, Vi and Caitlyn along with other people closest to Tobias would meet back at the Kiramman Manor. There was food, drinks, and people socialized as they told their favorite Tobias stories. While this was happening, Vi would go upstairs to check on Caitlyn. As she opened their bedroom door, she found her crying into a tissue. Vi would walk over and sit next to her on the bed, putting her arm on her shoulder. Caitlyn sniffles as she wipes her eyes, looking over Vi as she gave a small smile, leaning her head onto her shoulder.

"Thank you...f-for being here for me. I don't know if I could have done that on my own." Caitlyn said, occasionally sniffling 

"Hey– I'm the dirt under nails, Cupcake. Nothing's gonna clean me out." Vi said, kissing her head

"Hehe." Caitlyn giggled as she remembered that Vi said that to her in the aftermath of the battle "Hey...if it's a boy, I was thinking Tobias Connol Kiramman." She would suggest to Vi

"I love it." Vi smiled as it not just honored Tobias, but also her dad Connol

"I love you, Violet." Caitlyn would say as she looked at her, holding her hand

"I love you too, Cupcake." Vi would smile as she leaned her forehead onto hers 

Vi and Caitlyn would pull away from each other just a bit, looking at each other before kissing each other. They have each other and they are going to need each other if they are going to get through this new era in their lifes. Vi was going to be there for Caitlyn with whatever she needs, and Caitlyn would be the same way for Vi.

Time jump

3 months later || Kiramman Manor

It was a brisk, chill morning and Vi had just brought Caitlyn a nice, warm herbal tea that was good for the baby. Caitlyn was sitting outside with her jacket on to keep warm.

"Morning Cupcake." Vi said as she set the tea on the teacup plate

"Good morning, Vi. How did you sleep?" Caitlyn would asked her, sipping the tea softly then puts the cup back down

"I slept ok, though you stealing the covers didn't help at all." Vi would jokingly say, giggling at Caitlyn's cute smile

"Well I'm sorry. I am sleeping for two now." Caitlyn would say, putting her hand on her baby belly

"What do you think it is? Boy or girl?" Vi would ask as she moved her chair closer to Caitlyn 

"I actually know what we are having." Caitlyn's smile was big and bright

"What?!" Vi said excitedly "What are we having, Cupcake?" She would ask Caitlyn

"We are having....a baby girl." Caitlyn said, moving her hand to show off the belly

Vi would get out of her chair and get on her knees in front of Caitlyn to hold the belly. She was truly happy about it being a girl as it reminded her of how her mother Felicia was with her and Powder. Vi would make a promise there and now that she would be the best mother that this baby could ever have. She looked up as Caitlyn went and cupped Vi's face, both of them smiled as Vi stood up and they kissed each other softly on the lips.

"Promise to take it easy?" Vi would ask her 

"I have been doing so for months now, but I promise to take it easy." Caitlyn would say softly as she stood up slowly 

"Need help getting dressed?" Vi would ask her as she handed Caitlyn her sheriff jacket

"No, I got it. Thanks anyway." Caitlyn said, kissing Vi on the cheek as she went inside

Vi would smile as she watched Caitlyn walk out of the Kiramman Manor. She would wait for a few moments before going back inside, going upstairs and into the room next to their bedroom that would be the nursery. It was one of the studies and Vi has been moving stuff out of the room day by day. She would lay out tarps, so paint didn't get on the beautiful wood floor. She would start painting three of the walls a pink as they are having a girl.

Vi would start to paint over the remaining dark blue wall with a light, almost white pink for something special for both Caitlyn and the baby. She would start to paint a mural of Tobias, so that he is always looking over the baby and so that the baby always has her grandfather next to her. Vi would then walk downstairs to the kitchen to make herself a sandwich. She sat on the kitchen counter and looked around, everything she hoped for and more. Vi would've never thought she be building a life with the woman she loved.

After waiting hours for the paint to dry, Vi would start moving the baby furniture into the room. She would then sit on the carpeted floor as she was putting the crib together. Caitlyn would be home soon, so she had to work fast. Vi had already moved the rocking chair, changing table, and toy bin inside the room. The only thing left to do was put together the crib. After she was done, Vi would move the crib to the corner near the rocking chair.

It was now evening hours when Caitlyn would be walking inside. She would have her officer jacket over her shoulder as she  walked around to find Vi. She would walk upstairs to see everything from the study was in the hall. Caitlyn raised and eyebrow and walked in, smiling as it was turned into the nursery.

"Vi, you did all this?" Caitlyn would ask her

"Yeah, I hope you like it." Vi said as she held Caitlyn's hand, looking at the mural

"He would've loved this...Thank you." Caitlyn would say before kissing Vi on the cheek

"You're welcome, Cupcake." Vi would say, kissing her on the lips

After a few more minutes of them standing in the nursery, Caitlyn and Vi would go to their room to get ready for bed. Vi would help Caitlyn into bed and wrap her arms around her to keep her nice and close throughout the night. Caitlyn would smile as she fell asleep.

Chapter Text

Time jump 

1 month later || Kiramman Manor

With Caitlyn being 4 months along now and almost going onto 5 months, her belly started to show. She is now at the stage of the pregnancy where in her line of work, Caitlyn has to work at the home office. She would be sitting in the study as that is where her office was setup as her hands flipped through reports that her newly appointed Deputy Sheriff Steb brought to her.

"Anything on returning chembarons? Shimmer?" Caitlyn would ask him

"Only rumors. Nothing concrete yet, got multiple C.I.s down there." Steb said

"Hm, alright. If things get bad, pull them out of there. Ok?" Caitlyn asked him again

"Yes ma'am." Steb would say as he walked out of the office and pass Vi, giving her a nod as he went out the front door

Vi smiled as she gave him a nod in response. She walked into the study and leaned in the doorway, looking at Caitlyn. The both of them were excited as they are having a girl, have a few names picked out already. Vi had come up with Lavender or Felicia II to be named after her mother Felicia, Caitlyn as come up with Cori or Cass II, named after her mother Cassandra. Vi would walk in with a cup of herb tea for Caitlyn, setting it on the desk.

"Hey Cupcake. How do you feel?" Vi would ask Caitlyn as she sat next to her

"Alright, had some morning sickness earlier but other than that—I'm fine." Caitlyn said as she smiled, drinking the tea

"Anything on the reports?" Vi asked her 

"Nothing the Enforcers can't handle." Caitlyn said with a smile on her face

In the months after finding out that they were going to be parents, Vi would step up and rejoin the Enforcers to help lighten Caitlyn's workload to keep her from getting stressed. Caitlyn didn't even have to ask Vi, she volunteered to help out around the office.

"How about we get you out of the study and into the living room?" Vi asked Caitlyn 

"Ok, alright." Caitlyn would say as she got up slowly from the chair

Caitlyn and Vi would slowly walk to the living room and sit down on the couch. As Vi went back to get the tea, Caitlyn would put her feet up on the ottoman as she put a blanket over her legs so she can stay warm. Vi would come back with the tea, smiling as she sees Caitlyn's belly from under the blanket. She would set the tea down and sit next to Caitlyn, her head on her shoulder and hand on her baby belly, rubbing it softly. Caitlyn would look down at Vi, smiling as she felt the hand on her baby belly. She smiled as her mind was now at ease, relaxed.

"Hey, I got an idea. What if I talked to the baby?" Vi would suggest as she rubbed the belly softly while looking at Caitlyn

"I love it, go ahead." Caitlyn said smiling, lifting her shirt just above her belly

Vi would get on her knees in front of Caitlyn, hands on the baby belly as she leaned her head in, ear against the most outward part of Caitlyn's baby belly.

"Hey little one, it's your mom here. Just thought I would check in." Vi said as her eyes look up at Caitlyn who gave her a smile "You are coming into a weird world—but that doesn't matter. Me and your other mom love you very much. We and many others will protect you, no matter what." She continued on while still rubbing Caitlyn's belly

"That was....adorable. That definitely calmed everything down." Caitlyn said with a smile

"I thought it would be a good thing to do." Vi would say as she lifted her head, looking at Caitlyn with a smile on her face

Vi and Caitlyn would snuggle up on the couch, leaning on each other as they look at the fireplace. They kiss each other on the lips as Vi pulls a blanket over the top of them. She wanted to keep Caitlyn close, keep her safe. Vi also would do anything to keep both Caitlyn and baby safe.

As that was going on, Steb was meeting up with his C.I.s just outside of Zaun in the marketplace on bridge. They had contacted him with some serious information that could be really bad for both Piltover and Zaun. He looks at the proof they handed him, confused at first but starts to put it together.

"They are bringing back shimmer. A new chembaron?" Steb asked them

"Yeah. I don't know her name, but she is rebuilding what Silco did." One of the C.I.s said to him

"What do you want us to do?" The other C.I. asked Steb

"Stay low, don't get caught." Steb said as he held the evidence in his hands as he made his way back to the Enforcer Headquarters

As this going on and in most lower levels of Zaun was the rebuilt Shimmer facility. Now being run by Renata Glasc and her second-in-command Corina Veraza. Renata was in her quarters—previously Silco's, looking out at the aquarium that was in there. Corina would walk in, setting down a stable vile of Shimmer and stood back from the desk. Renata would turn around and pick up the vile, her smile can be seen through the glass filled with the purple liquid as this was the first step to taking back Zaun. Corina had her hands behind her back as Renata looked at the Shimmer in that vile she was holding.

"What is the plan, boss?" Corina asked her

"I will do threw things: Locate Caitlyn, remake Shimmer, and neutralize anyone loyal to the Enforcers." Renata would say as she turned back to look at the aquarium

Corina would smirk as she has direct conflict with Caitlyn Kiramman going back a few years, she would be glad to do anything to stick to Kiramman and the high horse that she seems to always be on.
