“Go faster,” Caitlyn repeated mockingly. “I just swam a PR.”
“Not just now.”
Caitlyn scoffed, “It’s a warm down pool that wouldn’t be very smart now would it-”
“Baby, I was kidding. It’s fine. I’ll try not to do that next time, kay?” Vi agreed. She hoisted herself up the wall, effectively shoving her ass in Caitlyn’s face, which was common practice in the sport but Caitlyn wasn’t so used to being so red when it happened.

Caitlyn could have denied so many things that she longed to touch the delicate scars on Vi's face, wanting to know if it hurt to smile. To know the story behind them. To see more of the tattoo hiding underneath her rolled up sleeves. The way she held herself high. Caitlyn already felt like she knew so much of her in so little time. In contrast to Maddie, she didn't even know the girl had freckles until their second date. Prominent ones to make it worse. All this she could have denied.
But it was the two silver bolts as earrings, the tattoo of a mechanical cog wrapped around her neck and presumably down her back that made Caitlyn think there was so much more of her she hadn't already figured out; she wanted to see the rest of it. The rest of her. Vi wouldn't change for anyone, and that's what compelled her. While everything else conspired to make them the two most dissimilar beings, this at least transcended all differences. Caitlyn desired so much so fast, dissecting every part of her, hoping to never find anything to dislike. Not that she would.

What she doesn't know is that her new security unit is not what she seems and thus begins the mystery revolving around the truth behind who and what V.I. Unit 516 is and the truth behind what Ambessa's company truly is designed around; enacting violence, unexpected love and forgiveness as well as reuniting two sisters together...
