No, Baelor had always been the quiet storm, mounting with the slow, chilling surety of the darkening skies before the tempest. His hand on your cheek dropped slowly to cup the back of your neck, and you felt your breath catch as his mismatched eyes held you hostage.
“I would not have you marry another man, sweet girl,” he rasped, brushing a kiss over your hair. “Be free if you want. Remain unbound, and I will be happy for you. But if you truly wish to wed a man, then I can only abide by one choice.”
