Chapter Text

The theatre was dim, warm with the low hum of people settling into their seats.

And among them, Jimin was glowing.

Soft and effortless. Clad in a black capree, and loose yellow sweater slipping slightly off one shoulder.

Hair falling just right above his eyes, lips curved in a small, content smile as held big bucket of popcorn between his hands.

Jeongukk looking at him, holding onto a coke cup.

“You’re staring again.” Jimin murmured without looking at him.

Jeongukk didn’t deny it. “You’re distracting.”

Jimin huffed a quiet laugh, nudging him lightly. “Focus, Mr. Jeon.”

“I am.”

“On the screen.”

Jeongukk leaned slightly closer, voice low. “You’re on my screen.”

Jimin froze for half a second, his ears turning pink. “You’re so…” he trailed off, shaking his head, smiling despite himself.

As the credits rolled in, Jimin shushed Jeongukk to be quite and look at the screen. But the older was rather focused on Jimin’s wrist resting on the armrest. So close.

An itch pushing him to hold it, but he didn’t.

_________________________________________________________

After the movie, they were still inside the premises. Slowly walking towards the exit.

Jimin stretched his upper body, blinking at the lights on the ceiling. “That ending was so bad. Like what was that even...”

Jeongukk wasn’t listening. Not anymore. Because someone was walking toward them.

Confident. Smiling.

Holding a small flower bouquet.

Jimin noticed a second later, words trailing off as the man stopped right in front of him.

“Hey.” the stranger said easily. “Sorry, I know this is random, but I saw you earlier and...”

Jimin blinked. “Oh...uh...”

The man held out the flower. “This is for you.”

Jimin stared at it, startled. “For me?”

“Yeah.” the man smiled. “You’re really beautiful.”

Jimin’s cheeks flushed just a little. Not cause of the compliment, but of the attention. “I...thank you, but...”

“And I was wondering...” the man continued, undeterred. "If you are single?”

Silence.

Not the loud kind, but heavy.

Because besides Jimin, Jeongukk had gone completely still.

He didn’t interrupt. Didn't step in. Didn’t say a word.

But his gaze was sharp.

Focused. Unblinking. Dark.

Jimin felt it, that shift radiating behind his back. Quiet tension that settled in Jeongukk.

His heart started beating faster because he knew, Jeongukk was watching him right now.

He hadn’t planned this. Definitely not, he was against testing the Jealousy aspect.

But now, when the situation have arised itself. It was a temptation to test Jeongukk.

Yet Jimin couldn't do it.

He swallowed, fumbling slightly. “I’m...uh...”

The man tilted his head, hopeful. “Yeah?”

Jimin glanced sideways. Again. Just for a second and met Jeongukk's eyes.

Unreadable, but there was something there, held back.

Jimin turned back quickly. “I’m not single.” he said, a little breathless. “I’m with someone.”

The man paused. “Oh.” Finally looking up at Jeongukk, properly.

And something shifted.

“…Right." the man cleared his throat, taking a small step back. “Got it. Sorry about that.”

Jimin shook his head quickly. “No, it’s okay.”

The man nodded once, muttering another apology before walking away.

The bouquet was still in Jimin’s hand. He hadn’t even realized that he took it.

Jimin exhaled nervously. “That was weird.”

No response.

Jimin turned to look at Jeongukk. “Mr. Jeon?”

Nothing.

Just that stare, still on the direction the had man left.

Jimin shifted slightly. “Hey.”

Jeongukk finally looked at him. It was subtle and controlled, but Jimin felt it immediately.

That possessiveness.

“Give it to me.”

Jimin blinked. “What?”

“Bouquet.”

“Oh.” Jimin handed it immediately. Little confused, hands shaking out of sudden pressure on his chest.

Jeongukk took it. Then, without a word dropped it into the nearest trash bin.

Jimin’s eyes widened.

“I don’t like it.”

“That’s not the point. He just... gave it politely!”

“He shouldn’t have.”

Jimin exhaled, running a hand through his hair. “You’re being...”

“Jealous?” Jeongukk cut in, voice calm.

Jimin paused. “Yeah.”

“I am.”

No denial. No hesitation.

Jimin stared at him. “You didn’t even say anything back then.”

“I didn’t need to.”

Jimin frowned at that.

“I wanted to see what you’d do.”

Jimin’s heartbeat picked up again. "And?”

Jeongukk stepped closer. Enough that Jimin had to tilt his head up.

“You told him you’re mine.”

“I said I’m not single.” he corrected weakly.

Jeongukk's hand came up, slow, deliberate, resting at the back of Jimin’s neck. "You are mine."

Jimin’s cheeks burned at those words. “You’re impossible."

Jeongukk leaned in slightly, voice dropping. Thumb brushing lightly just below his ear. “Did you like the attention?”

It wasn’t an actual accusation. Just Jeongukk being unreasonable.

“No!” Jimin cleared immediately, flustered. “I didn’t even know what to do...”

"You better not." Jeongukk's gaze softened just a fraction, but the intensity didn’t leave. “I don’t share.”

Jimin’s heart stumbled. There was something about the way he said it.

Absolute.

Jimin swallowed. “I wasn’t trying to...”

“I know.”

Jimin exhaled softly, shoulders relaxing a bit. “Next time, maybe don’t throw flowers in the trash like that.”

“I’ll buy you better ones.”

“That’s not... nevermind.”

Jimin didn’t complete his sentence. It wasn’t worth it. He quietly started walking, Jeongukk keeping up with him.

Suddenly, Jeongukk's hand lightly brushed against his wrist. Just for a second.

Not accidental. On purpose.

Not fully holding, Just there.

A reminder.

And for once. Jimin didn’t feel like stepping away.

Observation Result — Jealousy:

* Uses presence to establish ownership.
* Words are minimal, need to have final say.
* Not insecure.
* No hesitation in drawing boundaries.

* Conclusion:
* Very territorial and possessive.
* Simply decides what’s his (kinda scary.)
