Summary
Sebastian Sallow was reported to the Ministry of Magic for the murder of his uncle, Solomon Sallow, found guilty, and sentenced to serve time in Azkaban until reaching adulthood. After being offered a second chance by the minister, in an attempt to prevent blood-purist ideals from spreading among the prisoners, Sallow earns back his freedom and a secondary position as an auror.
With the rise of crimes committed against muggle-borns and muggles, the Ministry is forced to rely on the very witch responsible for the rise of those ideals after an attack on Hogwarts. Pearl Carter, the same witch who betrayed Sebastian Sallow.
To survive the civil war and ensure the safety of what remained of his family, the wizard allows himself to open the passage that separated him from the woman who destroyed his life, without imagining that his hatred actually had much deeper roots.
