Chapter 11: Chapter 10: The Great Escape

Chapter Text

The hatch of a rejuvenation chamber opened, and Bardock stepped out, his eyes snapping open.

"How do you feel, Bardock?" an elderly medic asked.

"A bit dizzy, but my body's fine," Bardock replied as he dressed. "I had a strange dream these past few days."

"A dream?"

"Yeah..."

Ever since he'd been struck by that Kanassan's Phantom Magic Fist, he had been seeing strange images. This time, he saw his daughter and a young boy escaping to a blue planet. They trained under an old man with a turtle shell on his back,

growing stronger together until they eventually faced Lord Frieza. What was even more absurd was that in his dream, they actually won! It was a completely ridiculous and nonsensical vision.

"Bardock, are you really okay?"

"Don't worry. We Saiyans are built differently from you lot. Hahaha!" Bardock laughed. "By the way, where are Tora and the others?"

"They received orders from Lord Frieza and left for Planet Meat," the old man said.

"What?! Those bastards left without me!" Bardock checked his scouter for the location of Planet Meat. "Planet Meat, huh? It's nearby. Usually a two or three-day trip, but I can make it in one day if I push the engines."

If he hurried, he might still be able to join the fight!

On his way to the launch pad, Bardock passed a uniformed teenager cleaning a hallway. The boy stepped aside to let him pass. As they crossed paths, Bardock caught a glimpse of the boy's face and felt a sudden shock.

It was the boy from his dream!

Bardock stopped and turned around, but the boy had already disappeared around a corner.

"Was it just an illusion...?" he wondered. "Forget it. I need to catch up with Tora and the others!"

Shaking off the confusion, he continued his sprint to the launch pad.

The next morning

Ye Chen woke early and dressed. After eating breakfast, he stood by the window, staring out at the scenery. Today was the day his fate would be decided.

He had lived on this planet for six years, yet he felt no affection for this ruthless world where strength was everything. He had spent every single day here on edge. Finally, he was leaving. Whether he succeeded or failed, whether he lived or died, it would all be over today!

Ye Chen calmed his racing heart and pulled a small memory chip from a drawer. Despite its size, it had a massive storage capacity and was filled with advanced alien technologies.

Saiyans weren't a particularly intelligent race; their entire civilization revolved around battle, and their technology was all looted from other worlds. They didn't value science, viewing it as a mere supplement to their own power.

Using his position, Ye Chen had spent years copying and stealing various alien technologies. While the core, high-level tech was out of reach, what he had on this chip was enough to jumpstart Earth's technological level by centuries. Since he was heading to Earth, he decided to bring a gift.

He stepped out of his room and looked at the pod in the hall where Fasha was still sleeping. "Goodbye, Fasha. Let's hope we both have good luck."

He didn't look back as he walked out.

In the launch control room, controllers were busy at their terminals. Dozens of ships were launching and landing every day.

"Lord Nabo, Lord Mica has ordered everyone in the control room to report to the conference room immediately. He has an important announcement," Ye Chen said as he walked into the room.

"Lord Mica has an announcement?" Nabo, the lead Saiyan, stood up. "Everyone, stop working and follow me!"

"Yes, my lord!"

Ye Chen frequently acted as a messenger, so no one suspected he was lying. He never lied, and they didn't think he would have the guts to do so.

As the heavy doors closed, Ye Chen was left alone. His eyes flashed as he dashed to the main console and began typing commands with lightning speed. He had fifteen minutes at most. He had to be fast!

Combat-wise, he was the weakest individual in the facility, but he was confident that his intelligence and learning ability far surpassed any Saiyan. He had been preparing for this day for years, secretly learning the systems and practicing his moves. He quickly called up several vacant ships, entered the launch commands, and set the coordinates.

Everything was ready. Without a second's delay, he sprinted out of the control room toward the nursery. Three minutes had passed; he had twelve left!

"Hey, Cyros! What are you doing?!" a Green Crocodile Alien worker yelled as Ye Chen sprinted past.

Ye Chen didn't have time to deal with him. He pushed his body to its absolute limit, running faster than he ever had before. Two minutes later, he reached the nursery.

The reason he was risking everything to come here at the last moment was simple: he was taking Broly and Kakarotto with him!

However, as he stepped into the room, he was met with a terrifying sight...
