Work Text:

The grating screech of the steak knife against the ceramic plate could barely be heard above the din of the restaurant. Still, Sunoo shot an apologetic look to a nearby table — an older man had been eyeing them with a complaint loaded, his lips twitching.

Jake, however, was impervious to the scene he was causing as he kept slicing Sunoo’s bistecca alla fiorentina with murderous intent. The vein in his forehead throbbed, and his eyes were narrowed into twin blades.

“What the fuck is he doing here?”

Whatever good mood he was in before had evaporated. His serene face crumpled in annoyance, a nonstop stream of curses muttered to no one in particular. His shoulders tensed, grip tight on the cutlery as he re-butchered the steak.

For several months, Sunoo had endured his husband’s continuous gripes about a new colleague who had somehow become his biggest work enemy. Whenever the couple’s schedules overlapped (which they rarely did these days), Jake would launch into an updated tirade about how this new professor was ruining his life.

“You know, he had the nerve to question me in front of the dean the other day? Can you believe it? ‘Don’t you think engineering students need instruction in the humanities too?’ Oh, now it’s a pedagogical discussion? He was just complaining about office-space inequity! Also, I used to teach a first-year ethics course — you think I don’t know the importance of having a multidisciplinary background? He’s so fucking smug, like he thinks he’s better than me. Just because he held a temporary post at an American school for, what, a year? Who cares? RMIT has been begging for me to come back!”

Sunoo hummed noncommittally as he always did when his husband got like this, seething with so much hatred that he couldn’t focus on anything else. He secretly enjoyed it, but he tried to put on a sympathetic front for Jake’s sake. Usually, it was Sunoo complaining about something or other while Jake listened attentively. His husband was always ready to solve a problem, but when it came to his work-enemy, he would unleash an endless spiral of grievances like a bottomless tar pit.

On Friday nights, the couple enjoyed dinner at a neighborhood Italian spot. Like most nights, the restaurant was packed. They sat at their usual table in the back, partially obscured by a thick, white column. From their private corner, they enjoyed each other’s company and made up intricate backstories for the strangers around them.

The night had started pleasantly enough. Jake was slightly flushed from the wine and starting to get handsy, his knobby fingers inching higher and higher on Sunoo’s thigh. He kept murmuring in Sunoo’s ear, lips brushing his lobe, giggling into his hair. Sunoo leaned into it, pretending to adjust the napkin spread across Jake’s lap when, really, he just wanted to feel his husband’s slowly hardening length. It had been a tiring week, and usually, they avoided talking about work during date nights. Instead, they preferred to slip into their favorite roles: Jake as the shameless flirt and Sunoo as the coy instigator.

By the time the main course arrived, Jake was ready to slip under the table and take Sunoo into his mouth right there. Then, the bells of the front door announced a new customer, and Jake’s expression instantly turned grim.

It was none other than Professor Park, in the flesh, the object of Jake’s recent ire.

Since all the tables were full, the hostess led the other man to the bar, where he confidently sat alone. He had loosened his tie and unbuttoned his shirt cuffs to roll up his sleeves. His hair was slightly ruffled; whatever coif he had started the day with was now flat against his forehead. His glasses slipped down his nose as he lowered his gaze to focus on a much shorter server, who was seconds away from swooning.

Professor Park Jongseong was the newest hire at Jake’s university in a bid to revitalize its faltering English lit department. He was a renowned translator and the author of a best-selling detective series that Sunoo would always see at the airport. Sunoo had borrowed one of his books from a friend, but when Jake found it, he firmly asked him to return it and gave him his card so that Sunoo could go book-shopping the next day.

The media photos of Professor Park had not done him any justice: Sunoo could see why Jake complained about distracted students. There was a softness about him in person that was obstructed by how intensely photogenic he was. Every shadow on the planes of his face only served to highlight rather than obscure, from the steep slope of his nose to the erudite dip of his brows.

But, according to Jake, Professor Park had a terrible sense of humor and was inappropriately loquacious. He accused Professor Park of somehow sneaking into the engineering building to sabotage Jake’s favorite coffee machine. He argued that the English lit department was a joke and that the university should stop trying to rebrand it with trendy programs led by some “pretty-boy writer,” said that with a bafflingly straight face.

“…and I think his office is bigger than mine anyways! He probably blackmailed the dean to get it. Meanwhile, I’ve been begging the school to fix one of the faculty bathrooms for months, and it’s always, ‘It’s not a priority.’ Oh, but it’s a priority to accommodate every whim of the new guy just because he’s popular on SNS, huh?”

Once he finished cutting up Sunoo’s food, he gently slid the plate over. With his own plate, he took out his displeasure on the poor parpadelle, slashing them into bits.

It didn’t seem as if Professor Park knew they were seated in view. He flipped through a book as he waited for his food. A few other curious diners watched him, but he ignored them, even after a couple of brave souls tried to approach him. He would rebuff them with a polite smile, becoming even more apologetic than they had been for disturbing his meal.

Jake continued to mutter condemnations and accusations. He was going to combust.

He had always been a passionate man, but the venom he had for his new co-worker was something different. It was petty, irrational, much more debased than could be expected of a man who was usually so affable and kind-hearted. Sunoo hadn’t experienced it before in the four years they’d been together. Between the two of them, Jake always tried to see the good in others, while Sunoo was more likely to share his skepticism, neatly packaged. This new animosity Jake had toward his colleague turned his tongue vitriolic, and Sunoo kind of liked it. He liked seeing this narrow-minded side that he rarely got to witness.

In the private moments when his husband did display big emotions, Sunoo enjoyed pushing his buttons, relishing when Jake reached an exasperated whining stage, where he would jut out his plush bottom lip and furrow his usually gentle brows until he had Sunoo pinned against something. Seeing his husband so bothered, so tortured — it did a lot for Sunoo.

Before his mind could wander off into different scenarios that involved Jake begging for mercy, he forced his attention back onto his husband as he noisily put down the silverware and chugged the rest of his wine. He quickly flagged a server for a refill.

Jake frowned at his food, distorting his handsome features. Sunoo picked up a napkin and gently wiped the sauce off his chin. Finally, he stopped grumbling and looked at Sunoo, his gaze softening as he watched his husband clean him up. With a tender touch, Sunoo swept back some unruly strands of hair away from Jake’s eyes. He needed a haircut, but it was close to midterms and Jake needed to run his hands through it as a quick stress-reliever. His fingers lingered on Jake’s temple, slowly sliding down his cheek until Sunoo cupped his chin and kissed him, slow, savoring, lips curling up in a satisfied grin. Jake kissed back hungrily but obediently stuck to Sunoo’s pace. Despite the acidity of the pasta sauce still on his tongue, Sunoo could taste his underlying sweetness.

When he pulled away, Sunoo licked his lips. “Better?”

Jake reopened his eyes and nodded, slightly dazed. His gaze flickered down to Sunoo’s mouth, still inches away. But a mother and child were nearing their table, heading toward the bathrooms, so he settled on linking their fingers under the table. He leaned back in his seat, looking much more relaxed.

“Sorry. I know I broke our rule. No more work talk.” He pouted apologetically.

Sunoo laughed and pinched the tip of his nose. “Aw, my poor baby. We barely saw each other this week, so of course you needed to vent. Sounds like you’ve been so stressed.”

Jake nodded, playing up his pitiful expression and placing Sunoo’s hand on his neck so he could scratch the short hairs back there. He nuzzled into Sunoo’s touch.

“You’re the only one who understands! Every time I try to tell Riki or Hoon-ie, they think I’m overreacting! And you know what they also think?”

Sunoo could guess, but he liked the clueless look on his husband’s face. Jake crinkled his nose, his pout deepening.

“They think,” he mumbled into Sunoo’s wrist, “that I have a crush on him! Ha! Can you believe that? How ridiculous. As if I could like anything about that complete asshole! If Park Jongseong has zero haters, I’m dead. I really hate his guts.”

Sunoo stopped his eyes from rolling as Jake kept giving him that kicked-puppy look. Leave it to Sunghoon and Riki to almost ruin his fun. His husband needed to stay in denial — it made the Big Realization all the more delicious. Oh, his sweet, darling husband — so knowledgeable about so many things but always so clueless when it came to matters of the heart. Sunoo wouldn’t want it any other way.

But, since the subject had been broached, Sunoo decided to test the waters. “Well, hyungie, didn’t you think I was a bit overbearing when we first met?”

The crease in Jake’s brows folded into a valley. “What? No! Who would think that?”

Sunoo could be canonized for his patience.

Jake shrugged. “Well, OK…I mean, only a little. But that was different. I was just super nervous and finding any excuse to pretend I didn’t have a massive crush on you.”

Sunoo waited for a lightbulb to go off, but Jake continued to sip from his wineglass absentmindedly. He sighed and trailed his fingers right underneath Jake’s collar, scratching at the base of his neck.

“Oh hyungie, what am I going to do with you?”

The angry flush that had crept up Jake’s cheeks had disappeared. All that was left was his charming, clueless smile. Sunoo could see Jake eagerly wagging his imaginary tail. He kissed the back of Sunoo’s hand, oblivious to the plan he was hatching in his mind. At the end of the night, he would have his husband panting and utterly debauched.

A steady stream of food and wine kept Jake’s mood up. He pulled Sunoo closer until even a thread couldn’t slip between them. He snuck kisses down Sunoo’s neck, softly tracing his nose along his jaw as he whispered about how much he missed Sunoo, how he wanted them to take a long vacation soon, somewhere warm, so that Sunoo could wear that skimpy swimsuit he surprised Jake with one anniversary. And every so often, Sunoo glanced over to the bar to make sure Professor Park was still seated.

Their last course was a beautifully plated tiramisu. Before he took a bite, Sunoo checked to see if the professor had left. He nearly panicked when he didn’t see him. But then, he spotted the other man again, walking in their direction for the bathrooms.

Sunoo froze, unsure of whether to mention this new development as his husband was cheerfully biting into dessert. He decided to take mercy on him.

“Hyung, your favorite co-worker is coming this way.”

Jake frowned. “What?”

As he turned his head, Professor Park drew near, and his eyes landed on their table at the same time. He looked pleasantly surprised to see them.

“Oh, Professor Sim, you are here. I was wondering if I’d run into you.”

Jake could only utter an unintelligent, “Huh?”

Professor Park chuckled. “Well, since I’m new to the neighborhood and I kept overhearing you rave about this place to our colleagues, I decided to check it out. The food here is delicious. The trenette with crab was very fresh.”

The gears in Jake’s mind seemed to jam. “You’re here…because of me?”

“Well, you talk about it enough. I got curious.”

Professor Park shifted his eyes over to Sunoo. His eyes widened imperceptibly, and then, he did a slow once-over, his gaze gliding over Sunoo as one might a painting at an art gallery. Or a nicely seared steak ready to devour.

The professor and his husband might have more in common after all. Still, Sunoo waited patiently to be introduced.

Jake cleared his throat and wrapped an arm around Sunoo’s waist. “Oh, um, this is my husband. Sunoo owns a bakery that has a very popular pain au mint chocolate out now. Honey, this is Professor Park. He teaches English lit.”

The other man rolled his eyes. “How many times have I told you to just call me Jay?”

Sunoo smiled warmly as they shook hands. Jay’s fingers lingered a bit, giving one more squeeze before they loosened their hold.

“Welcome, to the university and to the neighborhood, Jay-ssi. I hope the move wasn’t too hard on you.”

Sunoo loved playing the role of the supportive husband. He knew it made Jake preen whenever he could show him off. He felt a brief squeeze at his waist.

Jay grinned back. “It’s been a roller coaster, but I think I’m finding my groove now. Jake here has been really helpful at the school, even though we’re in different departments.”

“Oh, has he now?” Sunoo lifted a brow as his husband avoided his gaze, taking a bite of their dessert. He patted Jake’s reddened cheek. “That’s our Jaeyun-ie, always so helpful. If you don’t mind me asking, are you here alone?”

Jay scratched his elbow. “Yes, I…well, I’ve recently been through a breakup, so I haven’t been eating out a lot. Tonight was actually the first time in…three, four weeks?”

Sunoo could see Jake’s ears perking up, but he kept his eyes on the tiramisu.

“Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that. Well, if you’re still enjoying dessert, would you like to join us?”

Finally, Jake looked up, expression sharp on his husband. Thankfully, Jay’s focus was solely on Sunoo, so he missed the totally rude look on Jake’s face.

“Really? Oh wow, I’d like that a lot actually. Let me finish my, uh, bathroom business first and then get my things. Thank you.”

He bowed and shuffled off. Sunoo took another bite of the tiramisu as Jake hissed in his ear, teeth bared.

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”

Sunoo shrugged innocently. “I just wanted to meet the man who’s been lighting a fire inside you every day.”

Jake wrapped a hand around Sunoo’s upper arm. “Don’t word it like that. Come on, it’s our date night. Don’t just invite my arch-nemesis to it!”

“You’ve never had a problem with thirds before. In fact, haven’t you always said, ‘The more, the merrier?’” Sunoo smirked, putting on a silly voice to mimic his husband.

Jake closed his eyes, trying to fight the blush deepening across his face. As different as they were in their personalities, they had similar appetites when it came to the bedroom. They were regulars at a swingers’ club after all.

“That’s…a different situation, and you know it.”

Sunoo leaned in, lips brushing against his cheek. “I don’t think I do. At least not yet.”

“Whatever you’re scheming in that pretty little head of yours, stop it.”

Sunoo kissed him lightly on the corner of his mouth. Before Jake could bite back, Sunoo pulled away, scratching under his chin.

“Please. When have my plans failed? Or better yet, when have you disliked my plans? Besides, don’t you think it’d be much better to just…kiss and make up?”

With that, the dim lightbulb that had been flickering above Jake’s fluffy head finally burst. His face ran through ten different expressions as he imagined what Sunoo had in mind. At one particular thought, he groaned into Sunoo’s shoulder. He mumbled his acquiescence and sighed as Sunoo laughed and kissed the top of his head.

“Do whatever you want.” He grumbled into Sunoo’s rumpled shirt.

And so, Sunoo fed him a piece of tiramisu and patted his head with a triumphant smile.

Once Jay joined their table, Sunoo made sure to set the mood. Wineglasses stayed full and another round of desserts arrived. Jay was quite the chatterbox, which suited Sunoo and his tendency to go on long tangents. Jake would occasionally chime in, his grip on Sunoo’s thigh loosening as he grew more comfortable with the arrangement. When Jay started asking about their relationship, Sunoo beamed, eager to steer the conversation into more personal territory.

Jake and Sunoo had been together for four years now: dated for one, married for three. They had met when Jake practically crawled inside Sunoo’s bakery, on the verge of starvation after he had just landed from Melbourne. Then, Jake became a regular and finally worked up the courage to ask Sunoo out. But it had always felt like they’d known each other for much longer.

At some point, Jake excused himself to the bathroom, bashful whenever it came to talking about their relationship to others. He’d rather be known as a comedian or a savant over a clingy romantic who couldn’t start his day without a good-morning kiss from his beloved.

Sunoo talked about their first few dates, how sweaty Jake got whenever he was nervous, his cute stuttering, his stubbornness at pretending to know how something worked when he had no clue. They both weren’t each other’s usual types — Sunoo had a history with lanky, artsy guys with multiple piercings and tattoos, and Jake liked academic, prep-school athletes with regular gym memberships. But whatever it was — fate, instinctual attraction, curiosity — Jake couldn’t stop staring at the friendly baker in his floral apron, and Sunoo failed to pretend he didn’t have the hots for the handsome adjunct with the messy hair and circular glasses slipping down his alluring nose.

Jay smiled into his wineglass, full of mirth. “You two are so well-matched. I can see why Jake likes to skip the interdepartmental happy hours. I’d rush home too. In fact, I’d probably never leave the house.”

He winked and took a sip. Sunoo just smiled back, taken aback by his forwardness, especially without Jake here to witness. He didn’t think it’d be this easy. Maybe Jay had been scheming all along as well.

Sunoo finished the last bite of tiramisu, playing with the spoon in his mouth. “What about your ex, Jay-ssi? Ah, you don’t have to answer if you’re not comfortable. Jakey’s always telling me not to ask such personal questions.”

Jay waved his hand. “No, that’s alright. Well, we just wanted different things from a relationship. I like a bit of adventure, and he just wanted to box me in. It was never going to work out. But I had hoped the rough edges would smooth over eventually.”

Sunoo placed the spoon down. He offered his most sympathetic look, splaying his hands on the table. “I’m sorry. For what it’s worth, you’ve probably made the right decision.”

Jay leaned in, eyes never leaving Sunoo’s. He picked up the spoon and placed it in his mouth, licking up the remnants of cocoa powder. Sunoo watched as his pink tongue wrapped around the cool metal.

“I know I did. I just haven’t gotten used to the loneliness. An empty bed is no fun.”

The spoon returned, licked clean.

Slowly, Sunoo’s eyes slid back up to Jay’s. He lapped up a stray drop of mascarpone from the corner of his small mouth. Sunoo felt a buzz thrill up his spine, his throat suddenly feeling parched. A full glass of water appeared before him.

Jake had returned, gathering up his jacket and waiting for Sunoo to stand as well.

“Well, Professor Park—”

“Jay.”

“Well, Jay-ssi, the restaurant’s about to close, so we’re gonna call it a night. It was nice to catch up and get to know you better. Ready to go, babe?”

Though Sunoo joined his husband and stood patiently as he helped him into his jacket, he tried to communicate with meaningful stares. They were still fine-tuning their silent language.

We need to invite him back to our place, idiot, Sunoo hoped his eyebrows conveyed.

Jake’s pout seemed to reply, I only just started hating him a little less! You think I can even get it up with him around?

Sunoo rolled his eyes. As if you aren’t already half-hard right now. I saw you adjust your pants when Jay-ssi accidentally dribbled wine down his chin. Now, imagine if he had something else to drink up.

Jake abruptly cleared his throat and turned back to Jay. “Well, um, Jay-ssi, if you’re still free, we’ve really enjoyed your company and would love to have you over for a nightcap. But no pressure at all.”

For a moment, Jay was caught off-guard, his eyebrows raised in surprise. Around them, the other diners were starting to putter out. The din of the restaurant had dimmed down to soft bossanova playing through the hidden speakers. Jay glanced between Sunoo and Jake, his gaze lingering on their threaded arms. After a beat, he got up and, with a smile, shrugged on his jacket and followed them out into the brisk night.

As they walk back to the couple’s home, Sunoo and Jay resumed their conversation about relationships, though it stayed mostly surface level. Sunoo sympathized with how hard it was to date in the city — Jake had just gotten to him before he had thrown in the towel on romance. Jay couldn’t understand why people were so averse to trying new things nowadays. Everyone was so boring and scared to think outside of the box. They just went along with what was expected of them, and Jay didn’t want that.

Pretending to be more intoxicated than he was, Sunoo slipped between the two men until Jay shot his arm out to steady his balance. He offered Jay a grateful look and made some excuse about the wine affecting him. The heat of Jay’s arm around Sunoo’s waist sparked a shiver up his back.

Jake watched on with poorly concealed amusement, biting his lip as he observed Jay nervously stick closer to Sunoo. He seemed conflicted but did nothing to detach his grasp. And Sunoo played oblivious, slinking his arms around both their necks and forcing them to hold him up as they walked, deliriously happy at the attention.

Once in their house, Sunoo took Jay around for a quick tour. The entryway with fresh flowers on the hallway console that Jake got for him that morning. The newly renovated kitchen with a deep basin sink and a pasta arm, so that Sunoo didn’t have to lug heavy water-filled pots onto the stove when Jake wasn’t around. The living room with a comfy sectional that Jake would sometimes fall asleep on while grading papers while waiting for Sunoo to come home. The downstairs study that doubled as the guest bedroom.

Then, upstairs, the two bedrooms, since the couple believed in having their own spaces. They would alternate which room they would spend the night in. Of course, most nights, it would be Sunoo’s room, with its calming blue walls and piles of soft cushions on the large bed. Jake’s room was minimalist, with a personal gym setup, so Sunoo’s room was much more comfortable. And sound-proofed.

Jay was endlessly fascinated, and as they returned to the study to have their nightcap, he kept asking questions about their relationship philosophy.

As Jake prepared their drinks, Sunoo sat Jay down on the velvet settee, their knees knocking together as Sunoo leaned in and focused his attention. Jay fidgeted, swallowing thickly as he looked around them room and tried to avoid Sunoo’s gaze.

“How do you handle each other’s busy work schedules then? I’m sure it can’t be easy.”

Sunoo pursed his lips in thought, his arm stretching across the seat behind Jay and playing with a loose thread by his shoulder.

“Well, it was a bit difficult at first. We both tend to be jealous people, so there was certainly a lot of trust we had to build together. But I think discovering that we were jealous in similar ways helped, and we’ve come up with a system that works for us.”

Jay awaited the revelation. Sunoo smiled. “Well, for instance, I feel left out whenever Jakey’s going through a work thing. There’s a whole side to him that I don’t get to see, and it makes me feel a little lonely. So he always does his best to share that with me. He’s so good at sharing.”

After Jake set Jay’s drink on the coffee table, he took the armchair next to Sunoo and easily threaded their fingers together over the armrest. With his other hand, he sipped his glass and then offered it to Sunoo, gently tipping it so his husband could drink too. With a sharpened look, Jay watched them, eyes tracing every move.

“It doesn’t get annoying, having to share everything?”

Sunoo ran a hand through Jake’s hair. “Of course not. Whatever’s good for my Jaeyun-ie is good for me, right?”

He hummed into his touch. Jay cleared his throat. “Ah, wow, this evening has totally changed my perspective on you, Jake. You know, when we first met, I was really nervous and I probably came off as incredibly rude. Even though I’m not in engineering, I know you’re highly esteemed in your field, and I just felt like I was out of my depth. So, I’m sorry if we got off on the wrong foot. I see now that I completely had you pegged wrong.”

Sunoo laughed. He threw an encouraging look at his husband. Jake sighed and nuzzled against Sunoo’s palm.

“I also apologize for how I first treated you, Prof—Jay. I didn’t have a very generous first impression of you but that’s my own fault. Seeing you with my husband—Sunoo’s a very good judge of character, so he wouldn’t welcome you into our home if you weren’t a good person. I’m sorry for giving you a hard time.”

And because he looked so good in the warm lighting, voice all gravelly, hair slightly disheveled, lips damp from the whiskey, Sunoo kissed Jake proudly, moaning slightly against his lips as smacking sounds filled the room. Jay coughed, trying to remind them that he was still there.

Though he pulled away, Sunoo kept his hand wrapped in Jake’s tie, keeping him close.

“Would you like a kiss too, Jay-ssi?”

He sputtered. “Oh, no, I just…um, I can take my leave if you two need to…”

As he moved to stand up, Sunoo grabbed his elbow and pulled him back down. He fell against the cushions, startled.

“No, please stay. We want you here. As long as you want to be here too.”

Unlike his husband, Jay was much quicker on the uptake, his eyes widening once he realized what was happening. He looked conflicted, briefly, but once he noticed Jake’s boner and the faint marks on Sunoo’s chest, his shirt slipping to reveal traces from the night before, Jay licked his lips and nodded minutely. With that, Sunoo smiled brightly and leaned in, his lips landing tentatively on Jay’s. When he returned the kiss with more enthusiasm, Sunoo dipped his tongue in and curled them together. A quick tug on Jake’s tie, and soon, he was joining them, a sloppy, three-way kiss punctuated by soft sighs and bitten lips.

Sunoo liked the contrasting feel of their mouths. Jay’s was small and yielding, easy to sway from one side to the other. Jake’s was eager and intrusive, plush lips and tongue slipping with spit. He couldn’t keep up with all the drool spilling out. He’d slobber on Jay’s mouth and then Sunoo would drink it up. It was heating up his core deliciously.

The settee wasn’t quite yet right for all three of them, so Sunoo forced Jake to sit down next to Jay. He kneeled on the carpet, settling on the cushion Jake had graciously laid down. He tugged on Jake’s tie and Jay’s shirt collar.

“Strip. And then I wanna see you two makeout.”

The two exchanged looks and then scrambled to peel off their clothes. Sunoo watched raptly, hiding a giggle or two behind his hands. Once they were completely nude, they appraised each other, hands in front of their semis for a semblance of modesty. Sunoo slipped out of his pants and unbuttoned his shirt but kept it on, folding his arms as he watched the two men size each other up. Jay was a bit taller, but his slouch cut a few centimeters off. His muscles were lightly defined, his silken skin glowing subtly in the low lighting. Jake’s body was firmer, rugged, hidden under the oversized clothing he preferred. Sunoo’s favorite feature was the happy trail that he liked to rub on his way down. And the course hair of his well-defined pits. And his strong thighs that he liked clamped around him. Well, Jake was his husband after all — he loved all of him.

Sunoo slapped their bare thighs and tutted. “Less staring, more spit-swapping. Get to it.”

Jake rolled his eyes, used to his husband’s crassness, while Jay tentatively reached for his cheek. Jake grabbed his wrist, halting his movement.

“What’re you doing?”

“Trying to kiss you?”

Jake scoffed. “Why don’t you just lean back and let me take the lead?”

Jay raised a brow. “Why don’t you do that?”

“I’m always taking the lead.”

“That may be true for your husband. But I’m not him.”

They glared at each other. Sunoo wished he had popcorn to munch on, but instead, he trailed his fingers up their thighs until he brushed against their growing erections. That snapped whatever wall between them: Jay grabbed Jake’s face and mashed their mouths together. But before Jake could melt into his hold, he overlapped a hand with Sunoo’s on Jay’s dick and squeezed.

Sunoo smiled as he spat on his husband’s dick and swallowed him down slowly. He was completely entranced by the scene above him — Jay and Jake were truly battling for dominance. Jake usually did like to think he had the upper hand, and most of the time, Sunoo was happy to let him live in those delusions. Jay wasn’t letting up at all though. A hair tug here, a bite on the neck there — they were mauling each other, and Sunoo loved every second of it. Then, a pretty, breathy moan slipped from Jay’s reddened mouth.

“Fuck,” he gasped as his glistening chest heaved.

Sunoo and Jake exchanged looks and then turned their combined attention to drawing out more sexy sounds from Jay’s lips. The other man was helpless against the couple’s onslaught. As Jake licked a stripe from his shaved armpit down his underarm, Sunoo hollowed his cheeks and tightened his suction around Jay’s girth. Desperate fingers dug into Sunoo’s hair, trying to tug him off, but Sunoo merely hummed and pressed on his thighs.

“C-cumming,” Jay could barely stammer out before he was curling in, teeth clashing against Jake’s as they kissed, Sunoo swallowing it all and savoring it on his tongue.

With the cum stored in his mouth, Sunoo grabbed Jake by his throat and without much fanfare, he obediently opened wide and accepted the mix of fluids dripping into his mouth. Jay stared, fascinated and disgusted in equal strokes. Satisfied, Sunoo closed Jake’s mouth for him and watched as his husband swallowed slowly and licked his lips.

They kissed messily, Jake whining as Sunoo dug his nails into his neck.

“Need your slutty mouth on me,” Sunoo murmured against his lips.

Jake nodded eagerly and peeled himself off Jay, settling on the settee so that Sunoo could clamber onto his lap, kneeling in front of his face and slapping his leaking dick onto his tongue. Jay watched with heavy lids, still basking in the aftermaths of his orgasm, fingers lazily trailing up his sweaty stomach and tracing around his nipples. Sunoo grinned, pinching his own nipples in solidarity as Jake deep-throated him and smacked his ass hard. He was always more of a showman with a captive audience.

Just as he was losing himself to the wet heat of Jake’s cavernous mouth, Sunoo yelped when he felt an extra pair of hands squeeze his asscheeks and spread them apart. A tentative puff of air tickled his hole, followed by a more confident lick. He moaned brokenly as Jay ate him out and Jake sensually massaged his balls.

Sunoo collapsed over the back of the settee, gripping on tight for dear life.

“There! Fuck! Don’t stop, don’t stop, don’t—”

Before he could react, someone had lifted Sunoo up and plopped him onto the floor, thankfully on a pile of cushions. His body was close to snapping, abruptly pulled back when he was so close to release. He smacked his fists against the cushion.

“Jaeyun-ie! Why!”

He heard a chorus of laughter as he threw his tantrum. Before he could wrap a hand around his leaking dick, his husband swatted him away, drizzling lube onto his hole as he positioned Jay between his legs. With spit smeared across his lower face, Jay rolled on a condom as he joined Jake’s fingers in Sunoo’s hole. Sunoo thrashed his head against a flattened cushion, moaning loudly as two different fingers opened him up.

“He likes it when you go slow first and then build up,” Jake whispered right in Jay’s ear, guiding his rhythm.

And when Sunoo gasped at a certain angle, Jay gritted his teeth. “Fuck, he’s still so tight.”

“Don’t worry, he’ll open up for you. And you’re nice and thick, so he’ll really love that.”

As he blinked back tears, he smiled at the sight of his husband finally working together with his work frenemy. He knew his plan would work. This was the most fun they’d had in a while. They hadn’t been to the swingers club in ages, and lately, because work had been so busy for the both of them, they could only manage quick releases on the weekends. It was nice to finally connect again, skin to skin, doing what they loved best: threesomes. Sunoo wouldn’t want it any other way.

He was so close to cumming when Jay finally sank in, but he gripped his base and tried to think of unsavory things to hold off a little longer: dirty socks. Crusty underwear. Soiled sheets. Fuck, he needed to do laundry.

A pair of lips found his and brought him back to the present. Jay was leaving little pecks all over his face and stroking his hair.

“Sorry, you OK?” The older man had taken his expression as one of discomfort.

Sunoo smiled and kissed him back. “Hmm, amazing. Just what the doctor ordered.”

Jay chuckled but then gasped as Jake crowded behind him. Sunoo peered around and saw his husband generously drizzle more lube on Jay’s ass. He smirked.

“Couldn’t wait a second longer, huh, Jaeyun-ie?”

Jake strained to kiss his husband and then left a peck on Jay’s shoulder. “You know how I feel about being left out. Stop looking so cozy together.”

To stir him up further, Sunoo pulled Jay in for a deeper kiss, licking wantonly into his mouth. Just as he tugged on Jay’s bottom lip, Jake grabbed his chin and captured his lips for himself, grunting into the kiss. After a beat, Jay pushed him off to catch his breath.

“You two are insatiable.”

“We know.” Sunoo and Jake said in unison.

The three of them burst out laughing, which quickly melted into moans once Jake entered Jay and slowly pushed flush against his back. A litany of curses and moans poured from their mouths, followed by a scramble for kisses and tongue and teeth. Sunoo could feel his husband’s thrusts through Jay and he relished in Jay’s dick sinking deeper into him. It took a bit to find the right rhythm, but even when Jay slipped out or Jake missed a thrust, it was enough to just feel sweat-slicked skin and blunt nails scratching into scalp. Sunoo didn’t know whose lips were on his neck and whose fingers were pinching his nipples, but he did know that he was so close to having one of the best orgasms of his life.

When he peeked to see how his other partners were doing, he smirked at Jake’s dopey expression but was puzzled at the grimace on Jay’s face.

Cupping his chin, Sunoo coaxed him. “Hey, what’s wrong?”

Jay clenched his eyes and shook his head. “Fuck, I—it just feels too good. I don’t want to be the first to cum.”

Sunoo could sympathize with that. It didn’t help that Jake, freak of nature that he was, could hold off for so long. He could also cum quicker on command, so it was probably best to just put Jay out of his misery.

He reached over Jay’s shoulder, easily finding Jake’s cheek. He nuzzled into Sunoo’s palm, smiling beautifully as sweat poured down his forehead.

“Feeling good babe?”

Jake slowed his thrusts. “So, so good. I could do this forever.”

Jay groaned and collapsed into Sunoo’s neck. Sunoo laughed. “Be a good boy and show me. I want you to cum on my face.”

Jake didn’t need to be told twice. After another few thrusts, he pulled out and slid close to Sunoo’s head, pumping quickly until ropes of white adorned his open mouth and parts of his cheek. Jay followed soon after, emptying into the condom inside of Sunoo. With a deeply satisfying shudder, what was left of Sunoo’s spend dotted his stomach.

Somehow, Sunoo ended up in the center of a mass of sweaty, sore limbs. Jay took over his right shoulder, breathing into his neck, while Jake nuzzled into his tummy, lazily lapping up the drying fluids on his skin. The aircon had hummed to life in the background, cooling air finally bringing relief to their overheated bodies. They should probably crack open a window, but none of them were in any condition to move. Sunoo felt like he should probably tell his best manager to cover for him in the shop tomorrow.

Slowly, some feeling returned to Sunoo’s arms, so he started slowly dragging his fingers through his husband’s messy hair. He hummed happily, blowing a raspberry into Sunoo’s tummy. Jay stirred minutely from his light nap.

“I’ll talk to him on Monday.”

“Hmm?” Jake propped himself up to get a better look at the other man.

Without opening his eyes, Jay made some vague hand gestures. “The dean. I’ll ask him to put an express request in to fix the faculty bathroom that’s always broken. I’ll ask after his morning snack, when he’s in the best mood.”

Jake blinked slowly as he processed Jay’s promise. Then, he reached across Sunoo’s chest to give Jay a proper kiss. Sunoo smiled at their sweet reconciliation.

“Wanna stay the weekend then?”

Jay made a big show of thinking it over, but once Sunoo and Jake were finished tackling him down and threatening to tickle him, he gave in and said he wanted to use their pasta arm anyway.

Notes:

happy pride month y'all :') i can't stop thinking about jk cutting up sn's steak during 1D2N, so here's a tiny little thing inspired by that.....if no one else gets sunjake, i get them...my crownz TT

pls also accept this entry into jayke by easing in with sunjayke...i love them so bad...one day, i'll have the courage to write a non-sun ship completely, but you know where my passion and interests lie...sunharem is my bread n butter, i simply don't know how to stop

i was gonna write more about sunjake swingers club members, but it just didn't flow...in one iteration, i had written sunjakewon, but then deleted it because idk the vibe wasn't right. sorry to tease you about it, but perhaps sunjakewon can happen in another story (i just don't know what).
