Summary
Naruto looked back at his pile of forms. He was... angry. It was concerning. “His birthday is coming up and I wanted to celebrate it with him and his closest people.” Very noble. Very Naruto-like. Shikamaru had no doubt that the celebration would be loud and something that Iruka would not consider a fun time himself – but for Naruto he would go with it. “But,” the blond continued, “the thing is… He doesn’t have any friends.”
Shikamaru’s head almost dropped onto the table. Kakashi started blinking like he was sending some kind of code with his fluttering eyelids. And the silence from Naruto was suddenly explainable because—
He was right.
