Chapter Text
Spyder landed on the rooftop with a soft thud. He slowly walked to the edge and crawled down, his black suit matching the night perfectly. He looked inside a window, his cold emotionless eyes scanned the emoty living room. His target was no where to be seen. He looked down, Winter Soldier was waiting in a dark corner just in case if Spyder fails. Spyder wasn't going to fail, he wouldn't dare.
He slowly crawled inside from the window, started walking around with soft silent steps. He was just another shadow in the dark, peeking from the corner or the door. His target was sitting on the bed, looking down to her phone. Probably preparing to sleep, had pyjamas on. Spyder slowly crawled inside, just another shadowy figure at the corner of your eyes. His target lifted her head and scanned the room, Spyder was now hiding under the bed. He waited for his target to calm down before crawling out.
He walked behind his target, she turned around and scanned the room again, he was ducked behind the bed again. He slowly rised again once she turned back.
"Hurry." he heard Rumlow whisper in his comms. He saw Winter Soldier in the corner of his eyes. When did he even walked inside? Even Spyder's hypersensitive ears couldn't pick up Winter Soldier's steps.
He nodded to Winter Soldier, Winter Soldier nodded back. He suddenly covered his target's mouth and twisted her head. It was all over with a crack. He fixed the position of her neck, laid her down on her bed and covered her with a blanket. He crawled out from the window, as the same way he crawled in.
He shot a web to the opposite rooftop, dropped himself. He landed right next to Winter Soldier, they walked to the car that's waiting for them. Rumlow was sitting inside as they walked in, car started to move smoothly on the road. "Mission report?" Rumlow asked, lighting his cigarette.
Winter Soldier looked to Spyder. "Accomplished." Winter Soldier confirmed. It wad Spyder's very first mission alone, he was always the back up for Winter Soldier or look out. He was proud of his work, his very first success on his own.
They reached to the base, Spyder followed Winter. It was time for the classic procedure. They walked in a room with workers, they stripped them off from their masks and suits. They took a quick and cold shower, dried off and wore simpler clothes. Just a short and tank top for Spyder.
He went to the laboratory with Winter again. He sat on the examination table, stared ar the wall as doctors took examples from him; blood, hair, spit. He also stared at the wall as they injected stuff in his veins. He didn't know what was that, never asked, never cared. It must be something important if Hydra thinks its important.
Winter was reporting the mission, telling everything he saw. When the examinations, experiments and the mission report ended they went back to their cells. Spyder was staying in the same cell with Winter, always have been since he was born. He was born in Hydra, Winter was always his babysitter. Hydra didn't want to waste a cell by giving it to a child, they could use that space for better purposes.
He curled around to the side of Winter, Winter looked down and wrapped his flesh arm around the boy. They fell asleep like that. Tomorrow was a new day and every new day meant a new mission. They needed to charge.
