Summary
At age 9, Stan and his friends made a pact, vowing that they would stick together to make sure they never ended up old and boring like their stupid parents.
At age 10, Stan left his so-called "friends" behind forever to live with his mom in Denver in hopes to fix the shit storm his life had become.
At age 21, it was worse.
It was so much worse.
He just wanted it all to end. Just for a moment.At age 21, Stan was finally given a diagnosis. He finally got the help that 10 year old him had desperately needed.
At age 22, a year and a half after his attempt, Stan was once again faced with the friends he left behind. The incredible guilt he felt for never giving them an explanation weighed down on him and pushed him forward. But, the fear of sharing the broken parts of himself, held him back.
What Stan had failed to consider, was the fact that time didn't only affect his life. Now, years after their falling out, Stan and his friends are meeting up to fulfill their pact. Each of them with their own burdensome secrets.
Could a road trip to California be enough to save their friendship?
