It was close to midnight when Jason's book dropped.
Not purposefully. His hand went slack and the paperback hit the couch cushion, and his head tipped back, and he was asleep in the particular way of someone whose body has simply stopped cooperating with their will. Tim looked at him for a moment—the long line of his throat, the slight furrow still present between his brows even in sleep—and felt something he'd spent a long time learning not to examine directly.
He turned off the kitchen light and went back to Calvino.

Summary
Jason tilts his head questingly, “What’s got ya’ so wrathful, Baby Bird?”
Tim doesn’t deign to respond. His heart is still pounding like a jackhammer in his chest.
What doesn’t make him feel wrathful? Now that he’s given in before, who’s to say he won’t again? It’s taking over his life.
“You know, you taste like other sins too,” Jason continues after he’s met with silence. His tone is thoughtful, “Greed… Envy… Lust.”
Red Hood puts too much emphasis on the last sin, as if alluding to something in particular. That choice does nothing to support Tim’s hyper pulse.
“I’m sure any human would have a few sins.” Timothy responds, feigning nonchalance.
“They don’t cling to most like they do to you. Sin wants you…” Jason reaches out a hand for Tim to take. Red Robin does, stifling a groan as he’s pulled into an upright sitting position, face to face with the other who adds, “I can relate. You’re a special kind of temptation, Red.”
AKA: Jason is Demon-Raised (info in notes) and Tim is just trying not to get possessed.

Tim shot down the alleyway, Jason hot on his heels. A twinkling drew his attention to a side door for one of the buildings, but when he actually looked at it, there wasn’t anything. It was a brown door with a simplistic constellation drawn in white over the top frame. He kept running, following Jason’s next yelled instructions.
“Shit,” Jason panted as a similar twinkling caught Tim’s eye again. Tim refused to slow down, but the door was identical to the last one.
“What’s happening?” Tim demanded, turning the next corner and seeing the twinkling again, brighter this time. The constellation pulsed once with light before returning to normal.Written For JayTim Week 2026, Day 4: Constellations

Jason takes a deep, pained breath. “...I want it back, Red.”
“I want a chance at us back,” He clarifies quietly, before adding, “I’m sorry.”
Tim’s mouth goes dry. He can hear his heartbeat.
“I’ve been moving on.” He croaks.
Jason’s green eyes pierce into him. “Please don’t.”
It’s so unfair.
“When you…” Tim tries. He lets context fill what he can’t say, gesturing to the scar on his chest before continuing, “It was all I had left that I hadn’t committed to Robin, the only thing I was holding onto that was silly and frivolous.”
Tim’s spiraling, repeating the phrases that fed his empty soul sparingly in his darkest moments, “It only weakened me. Now I’m focused on being the perfect soldier you always hated the idea of. I’ve been more focused with a higher rate of achievement and—”
Jason’s in his space, pushing up against him in seconds. The end of his tail smacks into Tim’s, prompting the latter to shiver out of his mental descent.
“You’ll never be a perfect soldier.” Jason hisses, “I won’t let you.”
AKA: A new criminal turns Tim into a mermaid and Jason comes to the rescue (after years of rejection and skinning Tim's soulmark off)

After making a series of ridiculously horrifying decisions, he's left Gotham behind, left behind the few people he'd call family, and ended up striking out on his own. After creating a small team with Roy Harper and Koriand'r, Jason's managed to cobble together a good life. He still rights wrongs, and does heroic things, just...with a bit more of a violent edge than most. Unfortunately, one of these jobs forces him to return back to Gotham, despite all of the risks. He just has to go to a gala, though, and avoid the Bats.
What he hadn't expected was just how one of the Bats had grown up, and just how beautiful they looked at the white tie gala the undercover mission he was on led him to.

Jason observaba el almacén abandonado desde el tejado de un edificio cercano, viendo a los hombres de Máscara Negra entrar y salir, llevando montones de cajas de un camión aparcado en la calle al interior del almacén. Las ventanas estaban tapiadas, así que no podía ver dentro, el cabrón de Máscara Negra siempre sabía lo que se hacía, asegurándose de atar bien todos los cabos, pero Jason no iba a dejar que siguiera actuando con libertad por mucho más tiempo.
Red Hood todavía no era un nombre conocido en Gotham, pues tan solo hacía unos pocos meses que Jason había regresado a casa y todavía estaba preparándose para cuando se dejara ver en público de nuevo. Pero eso no significaba que fuera a dejar que Máscara Negra siguiera vendiendo su mierda cerca de los niños del Callejón del Crimen sin ninguna represalia. Sería discreto, porque aún no había decidido cómo abordar el enorme problema que representaban la gran cantidad de mafias y bandas de Gotham, pero no se quedaría de brazos cruzados.
O: Jason tiene una visita inesperada mientras destroza uno de los negocios de Máscara Negra y su noche acaba muy mal.
