Dick stood stock still, his heartbeat hammering in his ears. As the rain pattered against his suit, his shoulder throbbed violently. The man in front of him was talking, but Dick couldn’t hear what he’d said. The rain was so loud. He felt something awful crack open inside him that he’d carefully never examined before.
Years of pushing every painful thing aside have built up a heavy debt, and it's time for it to be paid. Dick Grayson is due to face the storm.

'I like him.' It was Donna. But Donna… She was dead. Jason tried his best not to show that he was on edge, as it would've alarmed Dick about his powers.
Unaware of the crisis that was going on in Jason's mind, Dick answered softly: 'I do as well.'
"I…" Jason tried to respond, to say anything so that it wouldn't have looked like he was having a crisis, but nothing came out of his throat. Much less did he know what he wanted to say.
'Bruce is gonna be maaaaaad.' Another voice joined the internal conversation in Dick's mind, and suddenly, the figure of a young Robin floated around Dick and hugged him from behind, 'Not telling him about the big bad, Red Hood? You're just as irresponsible as you were back when I died. Selfish.'
What would happen if Jason came back with the power to read minds? And what would happen if he were forced into the backseat of Dick's mind every time they interacted?

Bruce's son had just died, he wasn't in any place to take in another kid,
but the Grayson kid had need a home, and with him as the only witness to the crime, no foster home was suitable to take him in.
So, he offered to house him as his ward.
He wouldn't replace his son though, no one could replace his son.
So he sent the Grayson child off to a boarding school and let him slip from his mind.
That was a mistake.
