Jason has a lot of feelings about this letter, a lot of feelings towards Dick in general, but he knows most of it should be unpacked later (if ever). Instead, he focuses on a specific line, the first line to be exact. A habit. Jason frowns, he knows that Dick at the very least used to hallucinate him, but if this letter isn't lying, which Jason doubts it would, he should be able to get more information about it and Dick's general mental state at the time. Despite it being late Jason finds himself moving towards the door.

He was expecting to find something different. An exhausted Nightwing leading city repair and rescue efforts, clearly overworked. A stressed and worried older brother, concerned about his little brother’s injuries from the big bad Red Hood. Even something related to Jason being the Red Hood, whether it was pissed or confused or whatever. Not–
Not this. Not a bundled up lump of man with unwashed hair and empty eyes lying on the bed in a messy hotel room, talking about having seen Jason before (despite Jason knowing he hasn’t) and implying that Jason is going to take him to die.
