      Why you should not mess with the timeline, a guide by Tony Stark by Tsukichii

       

      Important to note, if I understood correctly, in here the canon is slightly different. Stephen and Tony were married for 30 years before he died, so well before Sorcerer Stephen or Iron Man Tony
      Although I've got no clue where the fuck Morgan came from then, unless either a. They adopted her before the snap/had someone carry her for them or b. Tony decided to adopt her during the 5 years, something I've seen done before in a fic

       

      Hmmm.. okay so like. I saw that this has the Iron Man: Armored Adventures, which if I recall correctly has Tony as Iron Man when he's a teen. But like I didn't really register it y'know?
      But now he's waking up in the past where form the summary I understood he's 15, and feels a pain in the chest, aka probably the arc reactor?
      Curious if it's just an alternated universe for him too, or if Teen Iron Man was a thing for him in the first place
      Regardless, I quickly checked and even if it's somewhat based on Iron Man: Armored Adventures, it doesn't follow the same canon. Howard dies in the plane crash that leads to Tony becoming Iron Man
      Got my answer though, this Iron Man: Armored Adventures timeline was very much not canon for this Tony, but also confirmation that this fic doesn't follow exactly that timeline (in this timeline he was still kidnapped but from MIT, that didn't happen in the canon for Armored Adventures) but also that there's more changes to the MCU timeline, unless the author just made mistakes which is possible.
      But that's my thoughts because they wrote Stark International instead of Stark Industries which yeah could be because English ain't their first language. But the other thing is that here, both in his OG timeline and this new one, he was kidnapped for 6 months instead of the 3 of the MCU timeline

      Huh interesting, Pepper and Rhodney aren't teens, but the same age they would have been according to his OG timeline

       

      It's not horrible, but I'm adding not the best because yeah the errors are distracting.
      I think what bothers me the most is them using he/she when it is supposed to be there, or the opposite way around it when there should be he/she
      Well no the wrong words, or the incorrect version of words also annoy me, but I think what I mentioned above bothered me more because the author wrote it for JARVIS, and she for a goddamn shirt. J deserves better than that
      Curious what the their native language is for them to mix stones and jewels
      Glad they got a beta for ch 3 but there's still some mistakes

      Shine maybe? Not sure if it was just 4 yo talk or they really do.
      Regardless, it's clear his blue eyes are unnatural somehow
      Oh? Not quite inherited from Maria. Might have looked like it at the start, but by age 9 Howard says Tony's eyes are too sharp, too bright. Too blue.
      Then again, he also compares it to Rogers' eyes so he might just be blabbering around

      I'm curious if his eye color is related to the Tesseract/Space Stone. I mean I assume similarly to canon, Howard played around with it and there's a high chance it was still happening around the time Tony was born
      I could just be overcomplicating things purely because the idea that there's nothing truly unnatural with his eye color yet the fic fixates on it so much is ridiculous to me and unlogical

       

      Side note had no clue who the fuck Zeke was. Thank fuck for characters tagged. I think I vaguely remember Stane having a son, even if not in the MCU. Seeing the family name helped me connect the dots

       

      Put on brown contacts a month after his parents died (January 1992)
      Gaslighted everything (the press) that he had brown eyes as far as he can remember, sure he had blue eyes when he was a baby like basically everything but that's it in November 1993 (Rhodney obviously noticed immediately)
      Huh neat about the early Stephen interactions. Friends with benefits. Tony shows him his eye color (because health reasons if they're going to be keep spending so much time together) in October 2002
      Pepper finds out in February 2004 by walking in on him mid putting contacts
      A hookup of Tony finds out in August 2006, she's super chill about it which is nice
      Uncertain if he was told/found out beforehand, but in May 2008 Happy is aware of Tony's contacts
      In June 2008 Tony is debating if it's even worth it. Doesn't know if it wasn't just another manipulation from Stane (his words did kinda impact him and made him decide using the contacts)
      In May 2010 Pepper reminds Tony he doesn't have to keep up the brand of brown eyed Tony, especially as he's no longer the CEO. Tony doesn't think it's a good idea, could still cause outlash
      May 2012 Natasha finds out, which uh misunderstanding because recent scepter experience
      June 2012 Tony accidentally tells Bruce, who's super chill about it acting like nothing happened
      April 2013 the Keeners find out, they're chill bout it
      July 2014, Rogers you can fuck off
      May 2015, Tony learns (?) Wilson knows about his contacts
      July 2016, as result of Siberia and the damage (ty Stephen for saving Tony) Tony can't wear the contacts for a while. Rhodney suggests it might be time to let them go for good. Tony will think about it
      August 2016, Tony shows the Parkers his eye color. And damn if May isn't relentless
      No long after that (still August 2016) Tony accidentally goes out with the kids without his contacts
      December 2016 Tony decides to start 2017 without his contacts

Also angst because really, kidnapped by Hydra. And of course they grow up and fall in love and eventually break out and kick some Hydra ass.

    The child wrapped its arms around the Asset’s legs and sobbed. “Save me! Please, Bucky, please! Help me!”

    The Asset stared down at the child, confounded. The Asset had heard many plead for mercy and to be spared. Many had even screamed for others to rescue them, but the Asset could not recall a time when someone had asked for him to save them.

    He did not understand.

    A group of scientists came up from behind the child and dragged it away.

    The child screamed and reached out for the Asset, continuing its cries for help.

    The Asset cocked his head to the side then straightened and waited for orders.

      Tiberius is 5 year older than Tony (13 when Tony is 8)

       

      When Tony is 15 and Obadiah tries to weasel into Tony's life (and fails), he decides to remove Jarvis. Aka got him murdered.
      After the funeral, the Tesseract, which Howard told no one about, disappears. I assume Tony took his sibling (shrug even if he doesn't view the Stones as siblings, I will refer to them as such due to me being used to it from the few other fics of Tony as Soul)

      Immediately after the funeral, Obadiah sets Tony up, faking him trying to kill himself & sending him to a psych ward. Tony convinces the doctor to not corrupt himself

       

      Mhm the fallout of the mini war was smth I remember, as in I remembered it going bad with one of Tony's friends. Did not remember it was to the point Janet asked to be unlinked from Space & leaving for a while

       

      So now he has both Space and Reality (and is Soul)

      “Nonsense. Friday is a delightful girl,” Vision said while entering the living room.

      Steve was snuggled up against Natasha, not wanting to sleep alone in a new place.

      “Being a delightful girl never stopped me from killing. It actually made it easier. No one expects a little girl to be an assassin.” Natasha was threading her fingers through Steve’s hair.

      “I have no current plans to kill you all.” That was of little assurance.

      “What about plans on killing everyone in this room, but Vision?” Natasha asked, picking up on Friday’s wording.

      “Would you like me to lie to you, Ms. Romanov?” Friday’s voice was almost bubbly, making her somehow sound sinister.

      “I assure you all that you are safe in Stark Manor,” Vision said, a hint of a smile on his face.

      “And outside of the manor?” Natasha gave Vision a penetrating look.

      “Friday is truly a delight.” Vision said nothing more as he left the room.

      “Who are you?” Loki asked, pulling Tony into his arms.

      “I’m Rhodey, the one who pulled Tony’s ass out of trouble since he was a scrawny sixteen-year-old.” Rhodey grinned down at Loki. “I’m also his best friend.”

      Loki held Tony closer.

      “No, Loki is my best friend, but…” Tony pursed his lips, pouting, “seeing you makes me happy.” Loki rested his chin on Tony’s shoulder, his eyes becoming dull. Tony seemed to sense the change. “You’re still my number one, Loki-Dokey.”

      “You’re my number one too!” Loki squeezed Tony and lifted him up. Tony squirmed and Loki laughed.

      “I hear you two have been making trouble.”

      “My house, my rules.” Tony stuck his tongue out at Rhodey and Sam who was standing behind him.

      “Exactly.” Tony looked up at him in surprise and Sam groaned. “I’m just here to scoop you up if your ass gets into the fire. If Loki is your friend, then he also falls under my protection.”

      “We do not need your protection.” Loki glared at Rhodey.

      “So you’re aware that Black Widow is still lurking around your house?”

      Loki’s face turned red with embarrassment.

      “Friday?” Tony asked, his eyes narrowed.

      “Widening search.” There was a pause. “Natasha Romanov has been spotted in the southern gardens. Your orders?”

      “You said you are on my side?” Tony asked, raising an eyebrow skeptically.

      “They could also just leave Steve and Wanda here, but that would be inadvisable,” Friday added.

      Sam was scowling.

      “Looks like you two got your underhanded methods from Tony.”

      “Don’t diss our ‘methods’. We’re just trying to resolve this nonviolently. You asked for my help and I’m giving it.” Rhodey looked cocky.

      “I meant convincing Tony to let Natasha stay.”

      “Friday said Tony has his emotions, but not his memories. He feels that she hurt him, but he doesn’t have the memories on why he should tolerate that pain.”

      “Stop talking about me like I’m not around,” Tony said in a whining voice. Rhodey smiled at him. Tony turned to Sam. “Chop-chop, Sammy, what’s your decision?”

      “I’ll get Natasha to leave the property, but I can’t make her go beyond that.”

      “So long as she doesn’t come back.” Tony gave him a hard look before grinning. “Come on, Loki! I want to show you a Disney movie!”

      He’d fallen asleep as a kid and had woken up as an adult. Aches in his body that he hadn’t even known he had became apparent. Old age was a bitch on his joints.

      A huff came from beside him. Tony glanced over. Loki was looking at him with drowsy eyes. He was naked.

      Their clothes had been ripped when Tony and Loki reverted back to their normal sizes.

      Loki’s eyes widened as he sat up. He pulled the bedsheet around him to create a semblance of modesty. He looked frozen in his spot.

      Tony grinned.

      “We were friends,” Tony said and Loki seemed to crumble at the use of the past tense, “we are best friends, and I hope we can be more than that eventually.” Tony took Loki hand into his own. “I want to see where this takes us.” Tony kissed Loki’s palm. “If that’s alright with you?”
