"I'm sorry, Keith." his brother's reply froze him. "But there is no mistake. Hunk and I arrived too late."
The words crashed into him like a tsunami, leaving him reeling and gasping for air. "No," he whispered, shaking his head. "It can't be possible. If it were true..."If that was true, when Lance called him, there was an attack going on and he was in danger, and he had called the first person who was supposed to help him. Except Keith hung up, ignoring him and telling him...
Keith put his hand to his mouth, holding back a gasp of horror.
The last things he had said to Lance was to call Hunk and not bother him.

Lance had made it a habit to coax him to join the parades whenever they managed to get some time to themselves. Sometimes, the red paladin would bother Keith during training; other times, the red paladin would even go as far as to bother the black paladin in his room - all because he wanted to persuade Keith to join them.
“We can’t really form Voltron without you, Keith. You know, since you are an essential part of the team. Irreplaceable and all that.” Lance had said numerous times, with varying sentences and words.
The red paladin had even gone as far as to walk Keith to the space pod for the mission the black paladin had just finished. Just because he wanted to make Keith promise that he would be on time for their parade.
Too bad. Keith was not really good at keeping promises.
“Welcome back, cheater.”
or Keith subconsciously cares and wants to do something for Lance, but instead ends up hurting his right-hand man.

She looked at him, puzzled. “We have training this morning, Lance,” she said as she moved to clear away her own plate. “Then I suppose Shiro, Coran, and I will be working on details for our mission to Asorora to bring them supplies now that they have been liberated.”
He smiled and nodded at her as he watched her walk to the kitchen. He tried not to feel a little disappointed that no one mentioned his birthday.

Once a month the four kids of Voltron sneak out of their rooms, blankets and pillows and snacks in hand and binge their favorite movies. The nights are full of pillow and food fights and cuddlepuddles. The team feels safe in each other's arms, they talk about anything they want to, as long as it has nothing to do with space, and they sing awfully and dance along to the movies they put on, overall just teenage shenanigans.
But Shiro and Allura found out about their secret bonding moments and become furious as they are acting like children, specifically targeting Lance. But Lance finally snaps, and puts them in their place, defending him and his teammates and they back him up too.
