    “Hm. Yes, you will do.”

    “Oh! Uhh… what?...”

    Damian’s family are pestering him to be more of a normal teenager. He doesn’t want to be more of a normal teenager. The average teens he observes at school are brainless savages. But his family is getting so annoying about it he’d do almost anything to get them to shut up.

    Then Marinette Dupain-Cheng transfers to his school. She’s intelligent, quiet, respectful of his boundaries— generally acceptable.

    His family want normal teen behavior? Fine. He’ll bring a girlfriend home.

    “Will you be my girlfriend?”

    Marinette blinks. Ya know what? This might as well happen.

    “Sure.”

     

    Daminette as told through equally socially unaware messes, general misunderstandings of each other's skill and experience, and a total lack of awareness as to how many flowers are too many flowers.

    He trotted to a stop in front him, and Pugsley grabbed the swollen hand immediately, dragging him through the house and up to the attic. Tiny Timothy followed along pliantly up until Pugsley opened the window, and he tried to squirm away.

    Surprised by the sudden fight Pugsley stumbled, half-falling out of the open window as Tiny Timothy squirms out of his arms. He windmills his arms a bit, not wanting to walk all the way back up, but ultimately falls out of the window, wind screaming surprisingly loud in his ears. Half-thought revenge plots spill out of his head along with bits of his skull, and his last thought is that he'd have to have Wednesday bleach his scalp later. Getting dirt in your bones itched terribly.

    "Hm?" Tim frowns, like there's some big confusing puzzle in front of him. "No I don't."

    Jason rolled his eyes. "Did you even hear what I said?"

    "...Yes?" He shrugged, sounding progressively less sure. "The...thing about getting out of graves, right?"

    Jason nodded. About a minute too late, he realized that this conversation may not end well.

    Replacement shrugged again and turned back into Dick's significantly more tense arms.

Because, at the end of the day, his injury was well wrapped, and apparently cleaned, and it was the best he felt after a gunshot wound in....a while.

    The joy and familiarity started to dull, as Tim started to understand just how serious this situation was, and Jason kicked him through a door to the Hallway of Fallen Titans. His voice was thick with all sorts of emotions as he knocked over Donna's statue, and this wasn't all fun in games.

    Well, kind of. It kind of was, for Tim, but it wasn't for Jason at all.
