Summary
Marcus holds the goblet up, still stinking with klauthgrass, and ponders them, clutched in the wretched claws of his undead monsters. "Well," he says, and smiles. "If you will not willingly drink it, I have a manner of encouragement."
And then he raises his dagger, pricks his own wrist until scarlet pools over his pale skin, and lets blood drip into the goblet.
Before he can help it, Astarion stiffens.
Astarion has spent two hundred years with truth as a bitter enemy. Fitting, then, that his choice to say it is taken from him.

Summary
There’s nothing wrong with the smile. It’s not one of the terrible, toothy ones Connor had given in their first days of knowing each other. It’s subtle, and looks like it fits on Connor’s face—like it folds right into the fabricated creases.
It doesn’t look right on Connor.
(Or: Amanda quietly wins on the stage. The thing piloting Connor’s body is not Connor. Hank will stop at nothing to get him back.)

AUGUGRTGDTZHTAA THIS STORY. Like the second coming of Yellow_Caballero. Made me cry three times. Like not just 'oh my eyes are wet', I mean CRYING. Straight sobbing in the club. This is a story about choosing to live, and free will, and being a person, and taking a risk. It's incredible. The prose is sharp as a knife, the dialogue raw and unflinching, the plot twisting wildly yet never falling flat. It has a song to listen to for every chapter.

Incredibly emotional, wonderfully written, and just plain great. Accomplishes the impossible task of having interesting, fleshed out female characters-- IN A MCU FIC. Seriously there's like negative women in the MCU the author tried so hard 10/10

Zelda stares at him. “What are you, a poet?”
“No,” Link leans against the table like a portrait of god splattered against an average household surface. “I’m Link.”
Hope runs a sharp course in a town like this.

"She kisses him. Merry Christmas. Dress up in red and climb a cliff near the house you grew up in. Take a boy home and build him an altar. Go to a party and leave early and spend the rest of the night talking about how you’ll never get over the body in the attic, and then point at it and laugh. There will always be a body in the attic. There will always be wisdom, courage, and grief. But the first time he sees a pile of leaves and jumps headfirst into it with his eyes squeezed shut and his knees tucked to his chest, you will forget for a moment that you watched the world end from a tower in the sky, you will forget that hurt is the least dignified part of history, and you will think, instead, of the weightlessness of angels."

Summary
Martin's life has been completely unremarkable in every way, save for a few minor details; his hair suddenly turning white over a month ago; his work barely-friendship with Head Archivist Sasha James, who has no assistants at all; and a recurring nightmare where he just so happens to kill the most beautiful man he's ever seen.
Then he gets pulled into another dimension. And the thing is this: Jon is real, alive, and very much afraid.

No but like. Sam__Roulette specializes in this perfect blend of comedy, romance, fun prose, and MEDIUM-DEFYING, BOUNDARY-BREAKING, BONE MELTING HORROR. I love them so much. I am also soso scared of them.

Summary
After the end of the end of the world, Jon and Martin end up in the same place the Entities do—which is to say, everywhere. The problem is, they’ve never been everywhere before, and it’s not as easy as it looks. While they would very much like to help the innumerable worlds that they doomed to the predation of the Dread Powers, they don’t have much practice at influencing reality through spooky books, monsters, or spacetime manipulation. That doesn’t mean they don’t try their best.
Elsewhere, in one of these innumerable worlds, Jon finds a book. It tells him to fall in love, and also, to invest in a cement mixer.

HOO boy is this fic good. It's got incredible thematic weight, the best (and funniest!) damn prose you'll ever read, and interpretations of the characters so good they permanently changed how I percieve TMA as a whole. It perfectly straddles the line between fix-it fic and post-canon fic, giving the gang a happy ending (sort of?) without making their past struggles feel cheap. It's a tragedy. It's a comedy. It's a fix-it fic. It isn't. It reads like if the Hitchhiker's galaxy was written from am omniscient POV, and I AM LITERALLY IN LOVE WITH IT.
Like, You know a fic's good when my comment on the epilogue takes up an ENTIRE PAGE in the google docs, and it's pretty much JUST all of the small details I noticed and stuff. Forget enjoyable, this shit changed me as a person, and it has a writing style more competent than most professional authors!

“It’s a preexisting condition,” Jon explains, sipping more bitter tea. “I sort of got—hm. You know Spiderman?”
Tim raises an eyebrow.
“Heard of him, yeah.”
Jon nods, studying his tea.
“It’s sort of like that,” he says. “A spider killed and ate me when I was a child, and now I can’t stay dead.”

So. You know when a fic writer just kind of. Barges into your house and your life and your brain like 'ayy whaddup I'm boutta tell you a story so beautiful that it'lll haunt you for a week minimum'?
EVERY SINGLE FIC THAT PRISMATICAL WRITES IS LIKE THIS.
Seriously. Go to their page. Check out their other works.
but MAN I love this one extra much. the prose blends vivid description and tone-setting and Jon's internal thoughts so well. The character dialogue is on point. The canon divergence is wonderfully transcendant, both diverging substantially in themes and content and sticking to a similar *vibe* to TMA proper. It has SYMBOLISM. and THEMES. It does that thing all the best writing does where it has the lil' line breaks, in between scenes, and they're all beautifully woven together.

Summary
When Matt was nine years old, he would listen to his father’s heartbeat in one ear and the sound of sirens in the other, and he would feel so alone that he might as well be the man on the goddamn moon.
Maybe that’s why it was so easy for Stick.
