    I'm so glad you enjoyed this, especially all the side-characters woven in! And, oh man, the whole Odyssey thread really kind of crept up on me--it was embarrassingly far into the story before I realized exactly what I was writing. And I seriously considered having somebody call Nate Penelope in the story, but I figured I'd leave that to your imagination. ;)

      I was just rereading this, and then I started reading the comments and saw this. And now I have this horrible image in my head of Nate working all day on his dissertation, then deleting it at night.

        Ah, well, he's at least as much Sarah Conner as Penelope--he's got things to do to make the world safe for Linus! He can, if necessary, scare off importunate suitors by being TERRIFYING instead of just busy. *g*
