Comment on Call for Feedback on Category Change Proposal

I'm really confused by your hostile tone here. The things I've been restating are things that numerous other people have already brought up in the many, many discussions that have already been held on the subject of where anime/manga should fall in AO3's categories. I'm not "mind reading" anyone's desires, I've been summarizing the arguments that have already been made over the past months for the benefit of people who were wondering why the categorization ended up this way.

If you wish to continue this discussion please come back willing to talk respectfully on your own account under your own name.

    1. What? So I'm a second class user here, who doesn't get a say, because I don't have an account to show for cred?

You only now started to talk about numerous other people sharing you opinion, before it was always just Anime and Manga fans, as if we are a monolith and you hold all truth of what the monolith wants.

    2. And, heh, nice thing calling for cred, instead of replying to the my argument on why the cats are together now.

Yes, I'm calling for cred, because it's pretty obvious you're not using your name to avoid accountability for the fact that you decided to single me out to get hostile at. If you don't have an account you can at least use the name you go by.

At no point did I claim that the words "anime and manga fans" were meant to refer to every last person in anime and manga fandom, and frankly I think that would be obvious since I referred specifically only to people who contacted AO3 staff. I see that you may not be a native speaker of English, and if this is the case I encourage you not to nitpick people based on their wording. The people in these comments are trying to have a good faith discussion about how to organize the archive. Stop trolling and help with the discussion or go home. I'm done.
