In the 10 a.m. lull when his phone buzzed with a message that just said did you eat lunch yet even though it was barely past breakfast, and San laughed to himself at his desk, a small private happiness that belonged only to him.
He caught himself more than once staring at nothing, thinking about the shape of Wooyoung's hands, the sound of his laugh, wondering what he was doing right at that moment, whether he'd remembered his own umbrella since it looked like rain today.

Shane is being too intense about this, he knows, but there are systems for situations like this. There are plans and protocols, and he knows all of them, and none of them are being followed here. He knows that if Rozanov gets over whatever weird ego thing he has going on about hiring Shane, then Shane can fix things. Aside from the danger, aside from the obvious threat that is going on here, the professional part of him also cannot bear to see the shoddy job that is being done by this so-called security team. He is itching to put it right.

This is an amalgamation of everything I love to write in one fic, and it will be far shorter (much much shorter chapters...sorry), and quick to complete because of it.OR: Shane Hollander loses his literal left nut, but gains an Ilya much earlier in life because of it...but make it a little bit funny, and a lot a bit tender and loving
