    Summary

If Buck thought the aftermath of the lawsuit was bad, it had nothing – absolutely nothing – on the Winchesters barreling into his life, finding out the apocalypse was imminent, that his own death was a seal, and a demon hitting on him.

He really should have realized that when an angel shows up to stop you from throwing yourself off a bridge, that it isn’t always a good thing.
    ----
After the lawsuit, Buck is back at work, hoping to reconcile. Only...it doesn't go as planned. His family hates him and after a lifetime of rejection it's one hit too many. Buck plans his goodbye…only a certain angel stops him, 'borrows' him, hands him the Winchester-patented starter's guide to hunting manual, and gives him purpose again. Too bad that angel was so busy saving Buck, they forgot about the goodbye letters left in the loft.
    ---
Buck rubbed at the bridge of his nose tiredly. "I'm pretty sure this is kidnapping."

Dean scoffed. Sam shot him a look. "Think of it as adult babysitting."

Gabriel waggled a bottle of top shelf bourbon from his perch on the TV stand. "With booze!"

Right. Buck eyed his new...friend, warily. "Okay, kidnapping adjacent."

Damian Wayne hates his brothers, and so apparently do they.
Yes, that means one of his brothers has a gun and has more than once threatened to use it on Damian.

Yes, that also means no one can shoot Damian off the road on his motorbike other than his brother.

Yes, said brother might commit a crime because of that.

Harley had absolutely no fucking idea how expensive life actually was.
Sure, he’d always heard adults complain about bills. Rent. Electricity. Heating. Whatever else grown-ups paid for. But it had always been background noise. Like people whining about Mondays or traffic.
    Something adults just… did.
But now he was sitting on his bed staring at his bank account and realizing adults had not been exaggerating.
Once everything got paid, there was basically nothing left.

    Summary

Jason had stumbled into life with Roy as easily as breathing, from partners in heroics to partners in parenthood. His best friend. He'd offered to stay, to help—just while Roy and Lian were getting settled.

“Just while they were getting settled” became “just until Lian turned eighteen” became “just until Lian moved out” became “Lian is an adult now, and a successful ornithologist at that, but I don’t know how to live my life without you.”

So here is Jason: forty-five years old, retired from vigilantism, and living with his best friend who he’s been in love with for most of his life.

Or, after twenty years of living together, Jason and Roy finally figure it out.

    Summary

Tim Drake has lost practically all contact with the Batfamily after his falling out with them over batman's supposed death, now working as a vigilante outside of the Batfamily support he makes a small mistake in a fight and doesn't bother saving himself. Superman, on the other hand, does bother to save him.

    or,

essentially just me being incredibly pissed at dc writers for continuously sidelining tim drake, ruining his friendships by freaking retconning them and being absolutely STARVED for tim drake content in the big (almost) 2026 and resolving to solve this issue at once. (this will be a multiple part series of which this three chapter fic is the beginning !!)

“There used to be channels for us,” Tim continued. “Lines of communication. Systems. Oracle knew everything. Dick would check in. Bruce would… be present, which passes for affection in our particular faith. Damian hated me, which at least meant I existed.”

      His voice thinned.

“Now there’s silence. Not even anger. Absence. It’s astonishing how loud absence can be once it learns to echo.”

He braced his hands on his knees, knuckles whitening. His words, once caged, now remembered their teeth.

“They died, Clark. All of them. Conner, Steph, Jason before any of us could mythologize him into something digestible. I buried them in my bones. I learned how to metabolize grief. I became… very good at it.”

The rain ran down his face. He did not bother differentiating it from anything else.

      “And then they came back.”

      He swallowed.

“They came back and I stayed dead.”

Clark’s head bowed slightly, like a sentinel acknowledging a flag he wished he never had to salute.

“They’re alive,” Tim went on. “But the versions of them who needed me stayed buried. Conner laughs different now. Steph looks at me like a relic, not necessary but pretty bitter reminder of the past. Bart outran his grief into a timeline without me in it. Jason—”

      He stopped.

Jason required its own architecture of breathing.

“Jason looked at me and saw competition. Or a mirror. Or a mistake. He tried to erase me the way a child erases a wrong answer: violently, and without nuance. And I… I understood. I worshipped a martyr; I got back a war.”

Clark didn’t move, but attention radiated off of him like heat.

“Barbara has the world to coordinate. I don’t begrudge her that. Bruce has a biological son now, a living legacy, a continuation of myth that does not require metaphor. Dick perfected being everyone’s older brother but forgot that older brothers require maintenance, too. And I—”

      The sentence fractured.

The next one replaced it, clinically precise.

“I am a solved puzzle. Like a rubik's cube to a 12 year old boy.”

      He exhaled slowly.

“I am the boy who figured out Batman. Once you solve a problem, you don’t keep revisiting it out of gratitude. You file it away. You admire it occasionally. You don’t consult it daily. You don’t invite it to dinner.”

His hands trembled. He held them anyway.

“There is guilt in that. They do love me, I think. In their architecture. In the way gravity loves planets: impersonally, inevitably, sometimes devastatingly. But love that cannot find time to acknowledge presence becomes indistinguishable from neglect if you stand under it long enough.”

      Finally Clark spoke.

      “I’m sorry, Tim.”

      Tim nodded.

“I know,” he said. “You are. You mean it. Most people do, when they remember.”

Clark turned fully toward him, voice careful.

“You know none of that makes you obsolete. You are not a completed task. You are not—”

“A relic?” Tim supplied. “A deprecated version? Legacy hardware?”

Clark’s voice sharpened — not loud, but unyielding.

      “A son.”

      Tim stilled.

“A brother,” Clark continued. “A friend. A leader. A survivor. A mind the world keeps borrowing because it can’t build another one like it. You keep thinking your value was your function.”

      He paused.

      “You’re wrong.”

Tim almost spoke. Clark didn’t let him.

“You think Bruce replaced you when Damian arrived. He didn’t. He failed you. Those are not the same thing. You think Dick abandoned you when he chose leadership over intimacy. He didn’t. He fractured. You think friends walking forward without you means they no longer carry your imprint.”

      His gaze softened.

“Tim… everything that lives evolves. Including grief. Including love. Including you.”

      Silence again.

But it was a different silence.

      Less void. More space.

      Finally Tim asked, barely audible:

      “Then what am I now?”

Clark didn’t answer immediately. He looked over Gotham with the care of someone holding something fragile in their hands.

“Alive,” he said. “Which means unfinished -- woeful side effect of living.”

The words did not fix anything. They did not magically reassemble broken connections or exorcise ghosts. They did not restore Tim Drake to a world that had quietly rerouted around him.

But they placed something back inside him that had been missing:

      A vector.
      Not redemption. Not certainty.

      Possibility.

Tim sat there and let the air exist in his lungs a little longer than he planned to. He did not thank Clark. Clark did not require gratitude. They simply stayed there — a god and a boy — existing in the same fragile weather.

      Gotham continued breathing.

      And so, for now,

      so did he.

    Summary

"Were you aware that LuthorCorp was using Wayne technology in their illegal weapons programs?"

For the first time, Bruce looked genuinely surprised. "Those contracts were terminated."

"When? Before or after Luthor's crimes became public?"

Bruce was quiet for a long moment, his fingers drumming against the arm of his chair. "I'd have to check with our legal department about the specific timeline."

    "So you don't know?"

    Bruce was silent.

Gotham's drowning, Batman's bleeding, and a nosy reporter won't stop asking why.

Three years after the flood, a rot festers, born from the stragglers of Riddler's movement.

The Sons of Gotham, neo-Nazis with mysteriously deep pockets, rise from the grime. Bruce bleeds for a city that keeps sinking.

Enter Clark Kent: infuriatingly earnest, maddeningly handsome, and asking questions Bruce can't answer.

When threats grow too big for one city, Batman reluctantly teams up with Superman. Saving Gotham wasn't hard.

Letting someone help? Letting someone in? Easier said than done.

"You don't know what you're talking about," Suguru says dismissively, his voice laced with quiet indifference and a hint of irritation. The deliberate clink of books and pens echoes in the stillness, a subtle reminder of the distance he’s putting between them. His gaze flickers toward Satoru. "And get off my desk."

Satoru’s lips curl into a smug smile as he rolls his tongue over the lollipop hanging lazily from his mouth. Unbothered, his eyes sparkle with mischief. "Or what, Professor?"

    OR

Gojo Satoru knew nothing about love when he started playing his game. He knew nothing of its gifts and its sorrows and its consequences. There were only two things that he was sure about: for one, he was obsessed with space, and for another, he wanted Geto Suguru to notice him.

The rest, all of the things that Satoru wasn't prepared for, came long after he began to play.
