“The author of the journals,” Stan said, finally standing up. "My brother."
The author of the journals, his brother, looked at the miniscule crowd that had arrived by accident to greet him. The author looked between them all, and Dipper could see reflection on his face from the light of the slowly dimming portal. The author’s gaze finally settled on Stan, and his posture stiffened.
“Dad?” The author of the journals, his brother, choked out. He sounded absolutely baffled.
Stan’s expression turned equally baffled, clearly not anticipating this. “What?”

The portal has opened, and spat out Stanford Filbrick Pines, exactly as he was when he left. Thirty years has passed for the outside world, but only a few hours have been lost for him.

Summary
This is a compilation of all the pieces that take place within my Over-City/Under-City AU, which is also a Hot Guy/Cute Guy Superhero AU, though that's not the only thing that'll be going on! I plan to keep this series in chronological order, so I'll put all the pieces where they'd fall along the timeline, which may sometimes not line up with the publishing date. The exception to this is 'Pretty Boy' which, IF someone does want to read the whole series in order, I'd want them to have read that one first and then all the rest, so 'Pretty Boy' will always be the first fic in the line-up, but after that you could read chronologically or just bounce around as you please! I've written all of these to mostly stand-alone, so you shouldn't be too terribly confused no matter where you decide to start up!

“Yo, Satoru,” Nobara calls suddenly. Satoru’s eyes shift from Yuji to focus on her and he grins.
“What’s up?”
“What’s going on with your eyes?”
Eyes? Megumi turns to look at Satoru, squinting at his face.
“Ah,” Satoru says quietly, smiling as he reaches up to touch the tips of his fingers right under his left eye.
“They’re turning gray,” Nobara says. She puts her beer down, and so does Megumi, vaguely concerned. Yuji makes a little choked off sound.
“Holy shit, are you going blind?” Yuji barks, never one for subtlety. Megumi flinches, and Satoru laughs. He leans back in his seat, crossing his arms over his chest, pulling the soft white cardigan he’s wearing down over his wrists.
“That might happen. Doctors say there’s like a forty percent chance.”
Megumi stares at him, “Dad, what the fuck?”
or, time goes on and Satoru begins to age.

i need a moment to collect my thoughts after reading this because i am in absolute TEARS. oh my gosh. as much as i love kagehina speedrunning their relationship after reuniting at the msby/adlers match, this slow paced development of their relationship is so beautiful. it’s not even because they’re oblivious to their feelings, but because they were always such a constant in each other’s lives that they didn’t feel the absence until later. i love how this fic switches between present day and all the years leading up to it. seeing kagehina so happy and domestic, even if they were at the end of their careers, makes me so proud of them for how far they’ve come. of course they will always be volleyball obsessed, but like what ushijima said, there is always more to life than volleyball. it must’ve been so devastating for both kageyama and hinata to retire, but it is true that they have already accomplished all their dreams and deserve to finally have time to be together. i love all the good advice that ushijima gives kageyama, being a volleyball obsessed nerd himself. their friendship means so much to me, and i also love how tendou had such a big part to play in ushijima realizing this. the love that kagehina share for each other is so strong, it makes me both teary eyed but also jealous. they really regard each other like the moon and the stars, the way they so unbashedly show their affections for each other even through teasing. i love that this fic is from kageyama’s point of view, seeing him grow from a lonely and hurt boy to being so changed and loved not just by hinata but also the people around him. i love how all his life he knew that hinata was the one for him, and gosh i really do love how it all accumulated to the night outside of karasuno almost 10 years after they met for the first time. this fic just really really hit the spot, life is seriously so precious and there’s nothing more worth being treasured than the people around you. i love how it reflects so much on the changes that kagehina and all the other characters go through from high school, now that they are all older and settling down. it gives me so much hope and motivation for my future, i can only hope that ill be half as happy as them! truly such an amazing fic!
