Summary
No young man, no matter how great, or mystic can know his destiny. He cannot glimpse his part in the great story that is about to unfold. Like everyone, he must live and learn. And so, it will be for the young magic arriving at the gates of Camelot. A boy that will, in time, father the legend. His name: Merlin.
Or
A rewrite of Merlin if the writers weren’t cowards. A lot gayer, magic users aren’t the enemy in every single episode, and Uther is the actual villain of the story. Morgana is still a villain, but we have sympathy for her.

Summary
Based on this: (my post, but I altered it a bit)
Arthur is granted a wish.After years of obliviousness, Arthur has grown an awareness for how blind he is, so he wishes to be able to see people for who they really are.
That's how he begins to see people dressed differently than before. He sees servants dressed like people of the court, he sees closeted people finally representing as themselves, he sees his wife with an eternal crown over her head.
And then he sees a man walking into his rooms. His face held high, his eyes golden. His face and hands are scarred all over and Arthur knows it's emotional scars. But the man glows, his clothes that worthy of a king, no. A god.
Only when the man opens his mouth and pulls away the curtains, does it dawn on Arthur whose in front of him.
"Rise and shine :D"

“You-” Ygraine said, stepping up to point a finger in Uther’s face. “You are a liar and a murderer. The fact you think someone as sweet and caring as Vivienne is destined to marry you is a tragedy in itself, but if you expect me to hand over my brother’s rightful claim to Camelot’s throne-”
“My claim to Camelot’s throne,” Uther threw back, face growing more red as Arthur looked between his parents in utter bewilderment. Merlin didn’t blame him. He had envisioned Uther and Ygraine’s love story to be more… well, less based in war and battles.
Ygraine’s eyes narrowed as she grabbed a goblet of wine and threw it in Uther’s face. A few of the guards shifted, but Uther only raised a hand to pause them, spitting out the wine with furious eyes.
“You,” Ygraine said coldly. “Are unworthy to sit upon a stool, let alone a throne.”
From a few feet away, Balinor scoffed as he sipped from his own goblet. “I kind of like having her as a hostage, Uther. She livens up the place.”

In a desperate attempt to save Arthur at Camlann, Merlin tries to reverse time. It works perhaps a tad too well.

Summary
Merlin for once doesn't listen to the dragon or Gaius and tells Morgana about his powers. This leads to nightly magic lessons in Morgana's chambers that have Arthur a tad jealous. Morgana soon decides to tell Arthur about her magic, and he's a bit scared, of her and for her, but he's working on it. He decides to be a good brother and learn more about magic in order to make Morgana feel accepted and understood. His terrible stumblings through the world of magic soon lead him to rumors of a man called Emrys. What happens when they finally meet each other and Emrys turns out to be unexpectedly flirty?

“My Lord we have found the thief.” Catrina stated boldly as the guards dropped Merlin at the King’s feet. The few knights and council members already at work at this early hour halted their conversations to watch on quietly.
Merlin groaned as he pushed himself onto his knees, whole body swaying slightly as one hand came up to clasp his head and Arthur had to force himself not to step forward and help. It would do Merlin no good to have him interrupt now that they were here. He'd let his father have his say and then do what he could to persuade him against whatever punishment was about to befall his servant.

Leon had been ready to die, knowing his chances of survival were extremely slim, when he heard Arthur’s shrill voice scream, “No!” and the guards flew backwards.
Leon turned to look at the prince, eyes wide with disbelief as he saw the gold quickly receding from his pale blue eyes. Arthur looked shocked. He tried to get on his feet, desperate to run away, but his legs were too wobbly to hold his weight and he fell pathetically on the hard marble floor. Leon was at his side in an instant, sword still firmly grasped in his hand. He helped the boy up, standing between him and the wrathful King.
“This is treason!” Uther yelled, his eyes were mad, his mouth turned in a grimace reminiscent of a gargoyle.
