Summary
It was just supposed to be a trip to another dimension to make Metal Sonic stronger. Eggman, Sage, and Metal Sonic never expected to become heroes.
Then again, when everyone in this world is a robot, turns out the Eggman Empire is a great thing.
But not all is well. Uzi, N, and V are dealing with new disappearances, and naturally, the missing Worker Drones turn up dead later. While Eggman works overtime resurrecting every dead drone he can find (and trying to teach the Worker Drones how to repair themselves and others), Metal and Sage team up with Uzi and her friends to face every threat plaguing Copper-9, from new Murder Drones to the return of the most dangerous Worker Drone in history.
And to top off Metal’s day, V has a crush on him. Great.

“What do you mean? Cyn, what do you mean?” Tessa asks, gradually getting more frantic. She reaches a hand out towards Cyn. She flinches away as Cyn reaches her own hand out, but Tessa fights her fear and grabs Cyn’s hands and holds it.
“It wants control again. I can feel the memories returning and it's painful. I’m losing my grip. I couldn’t save you from seeing the massacre, but I can save you now.” Cyn explains, leaning forward towards Tessa. She sniffles as tears still freely flow from her eyes.

After defeating The Absolute Solver, they believed it was the beginning of a new era—one where Disassembly Drones and Worker Drones could coexist without fear or the need to hunt one another, living together in harmony.
In the early days, it seemed like they were right. Uzi and N got together, Uzi was reunited with her mother, her father was no longer neglectful, and V appeared to have become a better drone. But they were mistaken. Nightmares plagued them, haunting their sleep.
Uzi struggled to cope with Cyn, constantly on her tail, and the ghost resembling Doll. Her means of ‘escaping’ them became a significant problem.
N tried too hard to make everyone laugh, neglecting his own happiness in the process.
V couldn’t distinguish between her present self and her Worker Drone past, blurring the line between them and leading her down the same troubling paths as Uzi.
J missed Tessa, she started questioning what would Tessa say if she saw her now, and when she discovered she sided with The Solver, and even if she tried to reconnect with the others, she doubted they would accept her back after everything, so that's why she will not even bother anyways, she would rather die than admit that she was wrong. -

My secondary AU with a very different post-canon, J is still haunted by her trauma ghosts but instead of just shutting down the ghosts help her keep going, and she eventually starts building them all bodies, Nori, who got stuck out in the snow and was freezing to death slightly after the core exploded, was eventually found by a few ghosts and then they brought J to her as well, the ships grow from there (don't like, don't interact, any needless hate will be deleted ❤️), and J also adopts Doll, I'm sure she'll meet back up with the main squad sometime after her little family gets their bodies back :3 (Megetron69 was the first registered User to leave kudos (again), Igottagowalkmyfish was the second (already got first before), and Sillystarlight was the third, congrats three shout-outs this time because the first two have already gotten shout outs before lol)
