Summary
Kevin discovers what happened to his missing ties with the help of Jake and Gina. Slowly, as their case gathers more evidence, Holt realises he was wrong in dismissing his husband's worries about the missing clothing - ties can be very serious business.
This fic is entirely based off a TINY moment in Season 2, Episode 8, entitled USPIS. In this episode, Terry / Holt / Gina all try to help Amy beat her addiction of cigarettes. Holt's solution is to go for a run, during which they stop and he receives a call from Kevin. We only hear his side of the conversation. This will be the beginning of the fic so I won't overexplain.
This started off as a fun little mystery fic that I described above but it kinda turned into an abduction and ransom story! Have fun!
Of course all the characters belong to the original show blah blah blah all that stuff.

Summary
Ray understands his emotions on an intellectual level, of course, but embodying and articulating them are another thing entirely. It's much easier, and safer, to bury them in favour of being single-mindedly goal-oriented, especially in the predominantly white spaces that he used to operate in. It leaves Ray feeling out of his depth when navigating the emotional space between him and Billy.
But planning an experiment methodically? That is in Ray’s wheelhouse, and so getting Billy pregnant is what he turns his attention to.
Or: Ray and Billy try to navigate making a baby in a totally straight and platonic way.
