Till turns his crazed grin and both middle fingers up for the cameras, then he throws himself off the suspended stage headfirst. The momentum rips clear of the cords in his neck, blood streaming behind him from his open wounds. Behind his eyelids are flashes of his life: long pink hair, bruises down to bone, and one night with the sky streaked bright, running hand in hand.
On the way down he thinks, in the split second before his neck snaps against the hard metal floor, that if he had the chance, he’d keep running next time.

Till is more than familiar with the routine of being high and hurt, flung into some empty room and left to wonder how long he'd be there for. With his thoughts floating away from him, something in this room catches his interest. A large ornate mirror. As he peers closer, Till realises that the reflection paints the room he's in differently from reality. Not only was the room in the mirror steeped in luxury, his own reflection included, he also wasn't alone in that reflected world.

Human emotions are a fascination to the segyein. The problem is that moments that exemplify those emotions best are fleeting. One such moment occurred on the Alien Stage, a dramatic show of unknown love followed by the tragedy of death. It didn't have to be so fleeting though. As the two boys realised that they could not move, the segyein knew that they had achieved their goal of capturing a marvelous snippet of time.
