An ultra slow burn Drarry retelling beginning the summer before fifth-year and continuing through the final battle at Hogwarts.
Harry begins to distrust Dumbledore after the events of his fourth year, turning to an unlikely source for knowledge and information. The Occupation of Malfoy Manor by Voldemort leads Draco down a path that diverges significantly from the rest of his family. An event early on sets in motion a large rift in the Golden Trio, ultimately resulting in irreparable damage. Harry learns what real friendship is and who he can trust while making several self-discoveries along his journey to rid the Wizarding World of Voldemort for good.
There are several plot points from the original source material that remain unchanged and are therefore only referenced and implied. While I don't care for the author's personal views, I enjoy her writing and will not be re-writing anything that happens as they appeared in the books. This fic is long enough as it is! There will be author notes for any chapter that includes or alludes to these scenes.
Please make note of the canonical character death tag and remember what happens in Order of the Phoenix.

At the end of his life, Harry is given the chance to alter the course of the dark reality his son Albus and Albus' friend Scorpius create when they use a Time-Turner to save Cedric Diggory's life. With the hindsight bestowed by a lifetime as Auror, Head of the DMLE, husband, father, and friend, he will make very different choices as a seventeen-year-old wizard to try and save the people and the world he loves.

Was trying to figure out why this wasnt bookmarked as im certain i read it. Answer aquired: snape first appears in ch. 21, skim over anything concerning sol, fully skip ch. 22 to avoid random untamed crossover & 31 (32?? One of those), skip ch. 35 & 36 (maybe skim 35 for snarry) good omens crossover, sincerely. Irritating that none of the crossovers were tagged since im already far enough in to want to continue 🙃. Also ch. 42Engaging, usually well-written but...hectic, interesting execution of concept. No coco, water, no reread. If rereading regardless of advice, go forth with an understanding of crack taken seriously.
As per usual, I do not learn and discount my first instinct only to find that my gut has an absolute glut of wisdom my brain could only dream of replicating: on Ch. 60, dnr
