At some point he had visited Phil’s flat, as he often did, and ended up face down on the floor, which he did not often do. To see him lying there was absurd. There was something so deeply out of place and surreal about it. Perhaps, Phil supposed, it could have just been Dan’s dramatic way of proving a point about something he didn’t yet know. Dan was known to express his emotions theatrically, surely this could be that. The two of them would laugh about it later.
(They did not laugh about it for at least a few more weeks.)Phil drinks on the balcony to cope. Dan rots in bed. Both of them navigate Dan’s depressive episode. There’s also sarcasm and banter and smut. It’s warm and fluffy eventually. Dan is depressed but hey they’re still in love.
Set around the time Dan decides to drop out of uni.

It’s the summer of 2011 and Dan is depressed. Phil is stuck at a loss while Dan isolates himself. Plus there’s smut. ;)

He lifted one arm, pulling it back from Lawerence, before bringing it up to his mouth. As soon as his teeth sank in, his face twisted in distaste. He quickly yanked his arm away, grumbling something under his breath that didn’t make sense. Clearly unhappy with what he’d just done, he decided to try a different tactic.
He swished his tail in irritation, giving Lawerence a sharp tap before leaning against him with his wet body; the side of him damp and cool. For a while… they just stood there.
Lawerence’s eyes slowly fluttered open, his vision blurred with sleep. The lingering warmth of the sun had begun to fade, replaced by the cool sensation of something wet pressed against him. He groaned in confusion, blinking a few times before turning his head.
