Summary
When William James Moriarty starts coughing, he believes he simply caught a cold. He fell ill soon after the Noahtic, after all. It was logical to assume that he caught something from one of the hundreds of passengers.
However, when he starts coughing up blood and flower petals, he decides to finally see a doctor. He's confused and scared, unsure of what could possibly be wrong with him. But when he gets diagnosed with Hanahaki Disease, he has more questions, the most prominent being, who was he even in love with?
As the days progress and the disease slowly eats away at William's lungs, he must face his biggest fear: Sherlock Holmes being the man he's in love with. Sherlock can't be the one he's in love with. How was Sherlock supposed to love him back? William is the Lord of Crime, and Sherlock is the detective trying to catch him.
William must choose between pursuing Sherlock for another chance at life, risking surgery and completely stripping himself of the ability to love, or letting the flowers bloom and strangle every part of him until he takes his final breath.

Lan Wangji only looked at him, suddenly so impassive, so unknowable. It made Lan Xichen want to cry. “I can’t say whether he has done right or wrong,” Lan Wangji told him. “I don’t know myself. All I can say is that—right or wrong, I will be by his side until the end.”
There was no answer to that, not really. To discourage Lan Wangji from this idea would be to discourage him from loving, and Lan Xichen has always known that to be impossible. All he could do was nod as his brother looked at him, and finished, calmly, “Zewu-jun, I accept any punishment you see fit.”

Ah, how can he put this delicately without sounding preposterous? “By trouble I mean in the form of attention.” A pause. “Lots of attention. Possibly in the form of, uh, seasoned gentlemen.”

Even though Jiang Cheng rolls his eyes at Lan Wangji’s monosyllabic responses to basically everything, he knows that his brother always has an extra bounce in his steps after his hangouts with his Lan Zhan. He cannot begrudge his brother that small joy.
(Or the one where the siblings are there for each other, Wei Wuxian refuses to acknowledge his feelings for Lan Zhan, Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian are (over)protective of their jiejie, and Jin Zixuan is not having a fun time.)
