Summary
That’s what they’ll say, in the end: Dr. John Shen swooped Mel up, out of Langdon’s grasp. Good for him. Good for her, finally fucking higher on the food chain.
Or,
John asks Mel out on a date mid-Langdon turmoil.

Summary
Dragons were supposed to die; at least that is what was expected. When Daenys was born, an egg, thought to have turned to stone, was placed in her cradle and hatched. Changing the course of House Targaryen forever.
Daenys didn't want to marry, but she had to. She had been told since she could walk that the future of House Targaryen was in her hands, but she was well aware that it was more dependent on her ability to reproduce. She had managed to avoid matches with her brothers, and when her cousin Valarr married off to a Tyroshi woman, she mistakenly assumed that her marital prospects had dimmed. However, she was later betrothed to her uncle, the heir to the throne, whom she had always trusted. Daenys, burdened with a dynastic fate, can only hope to find happiness in the midst of her duty.
