Summary
If one were to be a fly on the wall in Carlos’ laboratory in the Desert Otherworld, they would be very small and disproportionately annoying. They would also see an array of equipment both thoroughly mismatched and intricately organized, a combination of scavenged machinery and inventions of the scientist’s own design. Beakers filled with bubbling liquid of various colors dot the lab benches, and computers with no clear power source sit on nearly every available flat surface. Chalkboards covered in messily scrawled numbers line the walls, and more often than not, Carlos himself stands right in the middle, shuffling papers and flitting between tasks.
Of course, everyone knows flies aren’t real, so this is all a moot point. However, let us continue in this hypothetical that not only are flies real, but there is one on the wall in Carlos’ lab.
