Summary
After Hornet frees Pharloom from Grand Mother Silk and escapes the void, she settles down at her bellhome in Bellhart. Only wanting to rest for a while following her journey. Having never known a time of peace, she occupies her time dealing with whatever problem she can sniff out. Lace -- a bit too grateful for Hornet's help -- also decides she will settle down at Hornet's home in Bellhart. Living as a silk being with the primal source of silk gone, Lace must learn not only how she's alive, but how to live a life outside her mother's influence.

Summary
After all Hornet had done for Pharloom, an unenviable fate befell her. Grand Mother of Silk defeated her in an unequal battle, possessing weavers' body. But instead of binding her with half-breed for the sake of her own power, she allowed herself leniency for Lace.
And Lace will have to come to terms with new foundations that have risen from sleep along with her Mother and new, painful problems.

Lace grapples with the fact that she may never come back, and that perhaps, she held more feelings towards the spider who once was her foe than she can be possibly comfortable admitting.
