Duke sputtered as Bruce's massive gauntlet-clad fingers fumbled clumsily at the edges of his helmet. "B—Batman, I swear if you break my mask—"
Bruce ignored him, growling low in frustration when he couldn't find the release mechanism (because Duke had learned from Jason’s horror stories and installed a biometric lock).
Steph landed nearby. "Oh my god, I think he’s trying to check your temperature like a sick kid. B, we have literal thermometers in the suits."
Dick swung down next to them. "Nah nah nah, this is classic Batdad behavior—first comes the baby-carrying, then comes the 'must inspect child for ouchies' phase." He leaned in toward Duke. "He did this to me once after Fear Gas. Held me up by the armpits to check for head wounds."
Bruce finally gave up on removing Duke’s helmet, only to press their foreheads together with an audible thunk. "...No fever?"
Yeah. He was definitely a little inebriated on the gas.
Duke went completely still. "...Did you just headbutt me?"
"Safe?"
Duke was starting to realize why everyone called Bruce "Caveman B" when drugged. (Damnit, Crane.)

Summary
The Batmobile was sleek, shiny and everything that Jason had ever imagined it to be. He was a kid, of course he had imagined his fair share of fantasies that involved him in the Batmobile's driver seat. But reality was that he was outside it, carefully undoing the tires with quick hands. The scent blocker he had on was nearly used up and it would start giving out in a bit, so he had to be quick otherwise his scent of apples and cinnamon would leave a trail for Batman to follow and catch him and there was nothing more horrible than the biggest alpha in town being led to his scrappy omega nest.
That would not end well in any situation.
Jason didn't like stealing, and even less from people who tried to be good, but surely Batman was rich and wouldn't begrudge the loss of a few tires for a good cause, right? The good cause being Jason's preparations for his upcoming heat.

“Dad?” he calls out, desperately. His cry is dual purposed. Trying to confirm it’s really him, alongside calling out for help. Because, he needs help so, so, very badly.

The screen is black at first. Then, with some muffled shuffling, the camera turns to a slim figure in long sleeves and a slim fitted mask. Despite the obviously poor equipment, the video is clear enough to make out the black, web-like patterns cascading across the mask. Where his eyes are, there are large, moving white screens.
Bruce leans forward in his chair. There’s a stern expression on his face as he takes the video apart visually. Young, is the first thing he observes about the masked man.
“uhm, hello everyone,” A modulated voice resounds through the cave speakers. Bruce’s lips purse then.
“It’s my first video here, so be kind please.”
/Or, Spider-Man gets dropped in Gotham (because no, there aren't enough of them) and becomes a youtuber! Consider it part 2 of Peter Parker's video logs./

Summary
As much as he liked to say that Batman worked alone, he didn't. Doesn't take a detective to work that out, nevermind someone who was considered the world's best. There was always some kid with wide eyes and a yellow cape that followed him around everywhere, from the halls of the manor to Gotham's foggy skyline. Some kid that wouldn't think twice about leaping off a construction crane when they knew Batman was near; when they knew he would catch them with the same gloved hands he would use to fondly sweep the hair out of their face. Some kid that definitely wouldn't allow him to get to this state. Batman has always had help. Now he didn't. Not anymore, now that Damian was in college.
All Robins have officially flown the coop.
It wasn't something he liked to think about.

Now, Barry’s a rambler. It came with being a speedster, with a mind that ran and ran and never stopped. There’s countless ways he could answer this and countless amounts of reasons why that particular answer would work – would be the right one but out of all those, Barry's mouth moved, his heart having already chosen one from the start.
“As a thank you”.
Or the Flash found out Batman liked cookies and just rolled with it.

Summary
When Captain Marvel sends out a distress call, the only League member available is Batman. Bruce comes to his aid, but he finds out that Billy is a 10-year-old homeless orphan with black hair and blue eyes. Obviously, he makes the only logical decision and adopts Billy. Because it's Bruce—who's allergic to revealing life-changing information—the League is left in the dark.
This story is written as 5+1 story from the Justice League's POV as they attempt to define the weird relationship between Batman and Captain Marvel. 5 times they didn't realize Batman had adopted Captain Marvel, and the 1 time they did.

And, of course, it was home to Batman.
It couldn't be that bad.
