At first, Keith was like, okay. Whatever, you know? Maybe alien dogs don’t do commands. Maybe Kosmo doesn’t speak English. Krolia tried a few commands in Galran, to no effect. Eventually, he and Krolia gave up. It was fine. Kosmo was a pretty well behaved dog when he wanted to be, which was occasionally. He just didn’t follow commands — he can’t! He’s incapable.
And then Kosmo met Lance, and Keith knew his dog was a dirty liar.

Truthfully, it’s hard to get the rest of his brothers onboard with the let’s try and help the kid control his anger program because they just simply aren’t around to be party to it. Asmodeus is off starting wars with his dick and Leviathan hasn’t come out of the sea since he left all those years ago. Belphegor and Beelzebub do help out, but more often than not they’re clinging to one another like they’re each other’s security blankets, staying in their room and emerging only to eat. Lucifer—he bites back a curse.
(Satan is a child with a temper to rival the gods. Mammon tries to help, but he's never been much of a parent.)

Klaus folded his arms across his chest. “Nuh-uh. No way. Sorry, brother dearest, but the only way you’re locking her in there is if you lock me in too.”
“Oh my God,” Ben said from behind him, his tone a mixture of disbelief and admiration. “You’re an idiot.”
Klaus ignored Ben, lifting his jaw obstinately and squaring his shoulders. He fixed Luther with his most intimidating stare. “Your choice, brother mine.”
Luther sighed, annoyance evident in his eyes. “Whatever you want, Klaus.”
His brother stepped back, out of the room – Vanya’s cell (Klaus’ prison), beginning to close the door.
“I’ll check on you later, Klaus.”
(“Three more hours, Number Four.”)
The door shut soundlessly, and Klaus watched, his heartrate accelerating, as Luther spun the wheel of the lock before turning and walking away.
He was trapped.

Klaus refuses to let Luther leave Vanya to wake up alone in a cage. Between the panic attacks and the withdrawal, he doesn't quite manage to play the role of the comforting older brother. Somehow it works out anyway.
