"I fucking know that," Curt snaps. "That's not what I'm saying!"

Once upon a time, being called anything else felt like losing a childhood she still hadn't had yet, but now, the list is surrounded by stick figure drawings labeled Mama and me (Curtiss) and notes reading Ma, don't forget to take your meds and letters that say Dear Mrs. Mega, thank you very much for the gloves, you are too kind and innocent-looking reciepts that have Diane- Free tomorrow night? I'll bring drinks. CH. hastily scrawled on the back.
When she has company, the door of the fridge is looked upon like a slowly-growing memorial, proof that she has lived a good, long life, and she has, really, but she'd much prefer to live a great one since she has the time. And frankly, as far as she can tell, she's doing a fine job of that.

Summary
Things aren't perfect, not by a long shot. Jaskier, easily the most heartbroken by Geralt's departure, can't go more than five minutes into fronting without getting drunk. Nilfgaard is slowly appearing to be more and more threatening, whispers travelling quickly that they're in search of anyone close to the White Wolf. It's worrying enough by itself, but made a thousand times worse by the fact that Buttercup, one of the system's littles, has almost given away information on Kaer Morhen without realizing just how valuable it was.
Being a host is fucking exhausting, but she's been making it work. She's even made a name for herself around the locals.
She can't go by Piper, of course. They're in enough danger from Geralt's shit; exposing the fact that they're a system is the last thing needed. However, "The Sandpiper" functions more as an alias, a sort of title kept fairly hush-hush.
Or, how the Bard System deals with the aftermath of Season 1.
