Summary
When the Ministry informs Harry that they are coming to destroy his wand for defending himself from the dementors that attack him in Little Whinging, Harry knows there's only one path left available to him. He can survive on his own. He knows how. It won't even be that hard. And being on the run in his animagus form makes him a feel a little closer to Sirius, anyway.
At least, he thinks so, until he's picked up by a pet store, sold to a classmate, and brought right back to Hogwarts where the state of things is so bad that he's actually glad he's expelled.

Severus Snape thought he must be extremely unlucky to be the only faculty member at the school who had a muggle landline phone at his summer residence…unlucky, but also so very thankful. Because after countless shocking, concerning, and frankly bizarre calls from one of his students’ guardians each summer, a Dean Winchester, well, Severus’s life was taking on a completely new and welcome direction.

Summary
Hermione’s muggle neighbours are concerned about her.
There are always weird sounds and smells coming out of her apartment. Not to mention the ominous chanting and whimsical music.
Hermione reaches a breaking point at work, having had enough of the office politics in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, and the loopholes she’s had to jump through just to get her bills declined and her meetings postponed. One night when her stressors threaten to be her undoing, she tries to decompress by working on a personal passion project.
She may have gotten a little too passionate— the muggle police have broken down her door to find her screaming at a book and listening to crude metal music while a rancid concoction overflowed from a cauldron behind her.
Unable to explain her activities without violating the Statute of Secrecy, she’s admitted for a 72-hour hold in a muggle psych ward where she finds herself in good company with a curly-haired man from her past who has been admitted for claiming to be a wizard.
