Meanwhile, other soldiers have their own aspirations. Frankie Iero, a religious young soldier, longs to marry his fiancée back at home, Jamia, when and if he gets back. Raymond Toro, one of the medics, wishes for a future with Gerard. Unfortunately that feels impossibly out of reach, especially in a time where men like them are forbidden to love one another.

Somehow, by some miracle of the Phoenix Witch, the Fabulous Killjoys had managed to save Party Poison from Better Living Industries' clutches. Yet, he came back wrong. A shell of the spirited Killjoy they remembered.They thought they'd won, finally taken something from BL/ind instead of the other way around. But BL/ind never would have auctioned off a product unless they were completely sure it was tame and manageable, and the same went for the redhead they'd rescued.

An AU is which the events of Sock Opera play out very differently:
In this version of events, Dipper cannot control Mabel’s sock puppets and is therefore unable to tell anyone he’s been possessed. Bill destroys the journal as he planned, but then he decides to stick around for a little while. All he has to do is lie in wait for Stanford to come back and then everything will fall into place. Besides, it's been 30 years since he's mingled with humans, and he misses it. The mindscape gets pretty depressing, so why not live a little bit he has the chance?
