"Roy?" Dick's voice in his ear. "Roy, what's happening?"Roy couldn't answer. He was frozen deer's to headlight, scope fixed on Jason's face, on the way those green eyes glow and narrowed with a rage that felt almost physical. Jason didn't move. Didn't look away. Just stared directly at Roy's position with the terrifying precision of someone who'd been trained by the world's greatest detective and had just realized he'd been played.
"Bizarro just told him," Roy managed, his voice barely a whisper. "He knows."
"Get out of there."
"I can't. He's—he's staring right at me."
"Roy, move."
Below, Jason raised a hand. Not a wave. A single, deliberate gesture—finger pointed at Roy, then at the ground in front of him.
Get down here. Now.

Summary
He had quit volunteering at the library– he couldn’t handle the walk there anymore, too many people, too much noise, too many opportunities for ambush. He’d stopped leaving his apartment during the day entirely, deciding it best to get groceries delivered, rather than freak out in the check-out line.
Because of this, Jason had some spare time, and if he preferred to utilize that time by being unconscious, that was no one’s concern but his own. He needed the extra sleep anyway– his nightmares had been getting worse, waking him up, drenched in sweat, with the taste of bile surfacing in the back of his throat.

Swaying, Jason reached up to his ear. "Oracle," he said hoarsely. "O, I could- I could really use an extraction right about now."
Nothing, not even white noise anymore. Jason's fingers found the tacky blood smeared on the little device, then his arm dropped, suddenly too heavy.
"Shoulda known this is how it would go," he muttered to himself. "Shoulda expected this."
