He even, intellectually, thinks he understands his appeal, he is sterile and so cannot leave them with an unwanted pregnancy, a painful labor and yet another mouth that will need feeding. How does that translate into his appeal to Jaskier?
Geralt doesn't 'get' humans - but he wants to. Wants to be included and thought of and even in his deepest fantasies liked. So if he does things he doesn't particularly enjoy for Jaskier's benefit. Does it matter? If it let's him keeps his friend?

“Does the floating take up more…. force power?” Din asks, as he watches Skywalker meditate, hovering over the floor of the shuttle they find themselves in, “-‘Cause I can turn off the gravity systems if you want.”
Skywalker opens one eye to look at him, mid-air.
“I can’t tell if that’s a joke or not.”
“I’d never joke about the force.” Din says, seriously. “-mostly because I don’t understand it.”
Skywalker snorts to himself, even though it truly wasn’t a joke.
He stops meditating, fluidly getting his legs under him without floating back to the floor.
“The Force doesn’t work like that.” He says, “-dunno know whether I should try to explain it.”
Din shrugs.
“Up to you. I wouldn’t understand any of it, probably. But. It’s not like my schedule is full.”
Skywalker snorts again.
“Well, according to the computer, I have about a week or so to explain it to you, so, a bit of a time crunch.”

Jaskier has become adept at looking at Geralt only as much as Geralt wants to be looked at - but it's harder, recently, when his eyes catch on Geralt's body without his notice. Geralt, for his part, has accepted the fact that Jaskier just doesn't want him, and that stings a little but he's fine with it. It's just a little confusing now that Jaskier smells like he does.
Or, grey-ace Jaskier tries to figure out what being attracted to someone entails while Geralt loses his mind over what Jaskier smelling like attraction means. Rating is for the second chapter only.

Cross-over between Harry Potter and The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings. Harry's birth Parents aren't James and Lily, he is actually the child of Celebrimbor and Narvi of Middle Earth. He is sent for his safety by Eru to Earth when Celebrimbor is about to be overwhelmed and taken before Sauron before he is killed. Narvi had no clue he had a child. Harry like Celebrimbor is dual-natured, both male and female. This takes place before his Hogwarts years and then in the aftermath. He heads back to middle earth and is brought to a time where he can make some changes in the outcome of the quest for Erebor with the help of some others from Earth that joined him. Everything happened as in the books, except the Veil is a path to either Mandos' Halls or Middle Earth and Sirius lives. Fred, Remus, Tonks, and Severus also survive the final battle. Dumbledore faked his death but is not a concern other than keeping Harry separated from those that would care for him.
Follow Harry as he travels Middle Earth with Fred & George as they cause chaos and manage mischief leading to several surviving when they would have died otherwise, and those dying that need to. -
