    Summary

Sylvie M. Boogeymann was your typical monster; quiet save for the occasional quips, mostly one-note, only had about two or three bulletpoints for her character development. She kept it that way for a reason-- the less people knew about her, the scarier she seemed. Hell, even her face was hidden behind a creepy mask.

All it took was one overconfident interaction with the Prince of Hell for her to go from specter to spectacle.

Wow, this skeleton monster who came into the clinic you work at sure does keep adopting stray cats. He's kind of an idiot too, and his jokes are really inappropriate, and he may be a little excessively stabby...
You maybe might possibly be falling for him though? But good luck getting him to express a single genuine emotion lol.

AKA, two idiots who are bad at emotions bond over cats. A lot of cats.

    Summary

You were an ordinary maintenance worker, part of the crew of the Aurora when it crash-landed on an alien world and left you stranded in a hostile ocean. There are probably worse places to be stuck; at least the scenery is pretty, and you've always been passionate about marine life and alien research.

...what exactly did your PDA mean by "multiple leviathan class lifeforms?"

    “Morning sweetheart.”

You turn, and the very first voice you hear sends your pulse racing. it hits you like the crack of a whip and your shoulders stiffen.

Douglas sighs under his breath. “Ah. And that,” he says in a tone of resigned amusement, “would be our resident… meteorological personality.”

    You pivot.

Vincent Whittman leans casually against a camera rig, hands in his pockets, tie loosened, smirk firmly in place. Like he owns the air you’re breathing.
“Well,” he drawls, pushing off the rig and strolling over, “if it isn’t my favorite morning disruption.” Irony driping of his mouth.

    Your jaw clenches.
Douglas gestures politely but entirely uninterested.
“Miss, this is Mr. Vincent Whittman—our weather reporter.”

Vincent steps closer, mismatched eyes gleaming with amused recognition.

    Of course.

All of New York City, millions of people, and the one arrogant prick you managed to piss off before eight in the morning turns out to be a higher-ranked coworker.

You managed to escape Vox in life.

His premature death granted you the freedom you had been seeking for years after making the mistake of marrying the psychotic bastard. Too bad you died less than two years after him.

Now, you were cursed to live in the shadows of Hell. Always looking over your shoulder for any sign of that crazed TV head.

You managed to make it 65 years before he discovered that you were down there with him. And this time, Vox had no intention of letting you go.
